PERFECT. THE BEST. My wife and I just got back to our hotel from eating here the second night in a row. This was the best food we’ve had in Italy by far. We could tell from the first night we should have had reservations but the owner still managed to squeeze us Americans in with a warm smile on his face. We started with the mixed fried seafood and octopus salad, both were amazing. Then we each ordered a pasta dish, spaghetti with clams ( our favorite) and ravioli. Even though we couldn’t breathe we still ordered dessert, tiramisu and giardinetto. Again, both amazing. The next and last night in Palermo we didn’t want to risk eating mediocre food so we tried our luck again at this restaurant and the owners welcomed us with another warm smile and gave us a table. You could tell by him checking his reservations he was busy and still was kind enough to let us stay. This time we ordered the mussels and fried mixed seafood to start. It was once again amazing and by far the best fried seafood we’ve ever had. The sardines were incredible and as if we were eating bass, nothing like sardines in the states. Our pasta was delicious and we had spaghetti and clams again and tried a different pasta, the fettuccine cambusone which was so exotic and delicious. After dinner we couldn’t breathe again but still had to order the same desserts…… this restaurant is incredible and truly cares about the food and...

If I could put Il cambusone in my backyard I would. Compared to the hustle and bustle of some of the palermo streets this restaurant seemed tucked in a calm unassuming corner. We did call for a reservation about an hour ahead of time so not sure how necessary, but it was quite busy so I would recommend to do so!

if you don’t order anything else please get the pistachio pesto with shrimp. Your life will be complete, your day will be made, your stomach will be happy. We also got the ragu because we need some non fish, tomato sauce pasta and we similarly scrapped the plate clean. The grilled veggies were yummy and left us feeling like the picture of health

We were QUITE full but WHEN IN ITALY you MUST get tiramisu… ammiright? We gobbled this down so quickly the waiter jokingly looked under the table just to make sure we hadnt dropped it.

This place was incredibly reasonably priced for some the best pasta I’ve ever had. I really really wish I could be a...

Best meal I've had so far in Palermo, and I've been here a week! Right from the start I've noticed how attentive and kind the staff was. The service was perfect. They checked in with me whenever it felt needed without me having to grab their attention. I ordered the mussels with pepper and the chef's pasta of the day. The mussels were cooked perfectly. Nice and soft, and well-seasoned. The portion was quite generous for a starter. The pasta of the day was a fresh squid ink pasta with mussels and fish and it was amazing. It tasted very fresh and the flavor was spot on. I would definitely recommend it, if they have it on the menu again. The prices were very fair as well. The bill was 25 euro (before discount) which included a starter, pasta, 0.5L of house wine and cover charge. I went there with TheFork discount, but by judging the quality of the food I wouldn't have minded to i pay full price for it. So definitely check...
