We read other reviews before deciding to come here for dinner. We decided on what to order and the appetizers were quite tasty. As main course I decided on a Carbonara, which I explicitly asked was supposed to be original and not a cream pasta. We ordered the house wine, which smelled and tasted like vinegar and cheese. The main courses finally came around and the carbonara was absolutely horrendous. Besides that, 3 of our 4 main courses were absolutely subpar. After confronting the server, we were met with quite an attitude as I requested a substitutionary dish. After our disappointing dinner we wanted to pay and realised, that both the carbonara as well as the substitutionary dish were charged on our tab. During our whole Sicily trip, dinner at this establishment was by far the most disappointing. You can find better, cheaper Sicilian cuisine almost anywhere else. This is a tourist trap, avoid it...
Read moreWe spent 2days in Palerme didn’t get the chance to try many restaurants, but this one worth a 5star and even more. Good food and friendly price, 15€ for a mix of starters, 2 main dishes and dessert. We ordered sth else too but in total only 40€ at the end. We had lunch in another restaurant the other day, 2 main dishes and a beer already cost us 35€. BUT most importantly i have to mention the waiter who can speak French, ur service, recommendations, but especially ur enthusiasm made our night! We appreciate it a LOT.
Je vous recommande ce restaurant d’excellent rapport prix qualité. D’ailleurs un grand merci au serveur qui parle français, votre service, conseil mais surtout enthousiasme nous a fait passer une super soirée/ expérience inoubliable à...
Read moreDined at Osteria Al Casareccio twice – once for lunch and again for dinner – and both visits were exceptional.
On my first visit, I came in during an off hour when most restaurants were closed. Jet-lagged and needing a quick meal before an important call, I was so grateful the team kindly packed my order to go. Their hospitality was warm and accommodating.
The menu is impressively thoughtful and diverse for such an understated location. The pasta busiata with uni and local gambero rosso was a standout – rich, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Their marinated shrimp was equally excellent, and even the bread deserves a mention for being fresh and perfectly crusty.
Wonderful food, lovely team, and a welcoming vibe whether you’re dining in or grabbing something on the go....
