To put simply, Vago is the best coffee shop in Palermo. (So good that I had to write my first review ever!)

If you're a coffee lover in Palermo, Café Vago is where you want to be. (After searching for over a year, I finally found the perfect spot.) The selection of coffee here is unmatched, offering everything from rare petits crus to your bet specialty coffees. It you love and know coffee, this is paradise.

But what truly makes CafĂ© Vago stand out is Giuseppe. He’s not just a barista; he’s a coffee maestro, an artist. His technical expertise is top-notch, and you can taste the difference in every cup. On top of that, Giuseppe’s is a character, and his passion for coffee is true. If you’re in Palermo and serious about your coffee, CafĂ© Vago is an absolute must-visit. It’s the perfect combination of incredible coffee and a barista who...

The very best coffee place in Palermo and in whole Sicily (based on my travelling experience). Finally a drinkable coffee, not just dark-roasted coal like anywhere else in Italy. Unfortunately, the coffee itself still needs some more experience, it's not as good as in other countries while talking about specialty coffee. In Italy, it's treasure! I wish the prices of the world beans were much more transparent. Doppio should never cost double the price as single espresso - that's an unofficial rule everywhere! The servers were very nice and helpful. Tasty variety of the snacks, especially the very best pistachio croissant, wow! A bit dirty toilets but still much better than elsewhere in Sicily. Self-service here but it's not a big deal although it's very tiny inside. Definitely...

I visited Vago Rizzuto Specialty Coffee and tried both an espresso and a doppio. I asked for 100% Arabica in both, but unfortunately only the espresso was, while the doppio turned out to be a blend that I didn’t enjoy as much.

On the other hand, I also had a cannoli, a sandwich, and a chocolate croissant that wasn’t available in the display but they kindly offered to prepare it fresh on the spot. All of them were very good and fresh.

Overall, it’s a place worth recommending: high-quality products, passionate people, and a genuine love for coffee. Mistakes happen, but the experience was...

While this may not be an Instagrammable aesthetic cafĂ©, what it does do is take specialty coffee seriously. This is a very hard thing to find in Italy, let alone Sicily; so this is really a gem. The barista (and I think owner) speaks basic English, but enough to have helped me choose a bag of wonderful coffee beans to make espresso while traveling. I also had a cup of coffee while I was there. If you’re into specialty coffee, this has to be one of your stops while in Palermo.
