We had quite a horrible experience at this restaurant, and as we see here, we are not alone. As appetizers, we got bruschetta and a plate of assorted croquettes. The bruschetta was somehow both dry and soggy, and though it was supposed to contain anchovies, there were no in sight. It did however, have a very distinct smell and taste of old fish. The plate of croquettes looked and tasted as if it was microwaved straight from Lidl.
As mains, we got two pasta dishes. A carbonara and a parsley and clam spaghetti. The carbonara was very bland and soaked in cream (which has no place in a Italian carbonara), and had way too many pieces of undercooked fat pieces? The clam spaghetti had as many empty shells as it had clams. And worst of all, it had several bits of broken shell and dirt in several pieces of the clam meat. This is not only very unpleasant, but also a health violation.
We tried communicating our experiences with a waiter, but he did not care enough to listen.
Further more, the restaurant charges more than actual quality and local restaurants all over Palermo.
Disgusting, and not...
Read moreI normally wouldn’t write a review, but I really felt like I had to. The first day we went there were only 2 other tables of people at the restaurant and the service was so terrible. We asked for the menu and water and they didn’t give it to us, we asked again for the menu after 20 minutes and they said they would give it to us but didn’t. The waiter was too busy flirting with a table of girls to talk to us. They didn’t care at all about the other customers in the restaurant. It took them 40 minutes in total to give us a menu and they finally gave us the water then as well. Then when we got the menu we waited another 15 minutes and the waiter never took our order so we paid for the water and left.
We went back at the end of our trip and the boss was there, they were working harder that time but they treated some of the customers so much better than others. The boss was rude and very angry, it took them a while for the food to come, but the food was good in the end. Although we would not go back, as it was definitely the worst customer service we...
Read moreI like to give restaurants new chances when one, two or three visits have been less than enjoyable.
Unfortunately, Dadalia is consistently miserable.
I like the location and the people are nice.
But: the food is inedible. Melanzane: squishy, fat slices of eggplant...by far the worst and most loveless melanzane you can get in Sicily. Then spaghetti aglio olio: ordered with hot peperoncini. None in the pasta. There are probably no fresh peperoncini in the kitchen (you should always buy them yourself at the market and have them with you). Dried chili and chili oil were served. Spaghetti: heavily oversalted. Obviously the kitchen has confused 🌶 with salt. Unsuspecting tourists are led here by their guides - poor tourists!
Tip: Enjoy aqua & vini, but please eat where they cook with understanding and skill.
This was my last attempt to get something to eat for my money instead of giving it back to the kitchen (only recommended as a...
