I recently visited La Brace Food Experience, and I must say, the experience was less than satisfactory. Initially, my expectations were high due to the restaurant’s pleasant ambiance, but several factors contributed to a disappointing visit.
Firstly, the food is priced higher compared to other local competitors. This wouldn’t be an issue if the quality matched the price, but unfortunately, it didn’t. When we arrived, we had issues accessing the menu due to poor connectivity. While this isn’t directly the restaurant’s fault, they should consider providing physical menus or at least offer free WiFi, as not everyone visiting is local.
When the food finally arrived, it was below average. My burger was overly salty and did not meet my expectations, especially considering the other great options available in town. The restaurant seems to focus more on appearance rather than substance. Furthermore, the service was quite poor. The servers appeared indifferent and careless. One server nearly knocked my friend’s pizza off the plate and didn’t bother to apologize. Such lack of attention and care significantly affects the overall dining experience.
Another point of concern was the furniture. Our table was extremely wobbly, making it difficult to enjoy our meal comfortably. It felt like a seesaw, which is unacceptable for a restaurant of any standard.
To top it off, the dessert was very average. Although it had a decent presentation, the flavor was lacking and left me unimpressed.
Overall, this visit was a letdown. A restaurant experience encompasses everything from the moment you walk in until you leave, and if the staff exude a negative vibe, it will inevitably translate to the customers’ experience. I have dined at many simpler establishments where the food was exceptional, and the service was warm and welcoming. La Brace Food Experience has a lot of positive reviews, so I hope my experience was a one-off incident. Nevertheless, such occurrences shouldn’t...
Read moreKinda tragic experience. Having a menu accessible only online via a QR code is like the worst trend in the history of gastronomy services. Add no reception at the restaurant and a wifi only accessible via a sign-in with a Facebook account, to which you cannot sign without an internet connection... I spent 20 minutes trying to get through. Also, the very reason I went to this restaurant is the huge "Pilsner Urquell" signs all over the place from the outside, as after few weeks in Italy i really lacked Czech beer. I'm not expecting much here, but even when ordering the beer, I have to point the waiter to his chest (where the name of the beer is written) since he had no idea what I'm talking about. Needles to say it was tapped terribly and on top of that to a dirty glass (you can easily tell by tiny bubbles sticking to the surface from the inside). Watch some tutorial on YouTube at least, please. Dirty toilets, missing toilette seat, flushing mechanism falling apart, while the restaurant acts as if it was some high class society (both atmosphere and prices). Food is okay-ish, not great,...
Read moreI recently visited Brace Food Experience and decided to share a 1kg Angus Miguel Vergara ribeye steak with my girlfriend. I’m no stranger to large, rare steaks, I’ve eaten many over the years without any issues but shortly after this particular meal, I felt an unusual heaviness in my stomach. Unfortunately, what followed were two consecutive days of severe stomach discomfort. My girlfriend also experienced the same symptoms, which made the situation even more disappointing.
Given the premium price of a steak like this, I expected much more in terms of quality and after-effects. I can’t say for certain whether it was due to poor cooking or inadequate ageing, but something clearly wasn’t right, and we both left feeling very dissatisfied.
The only positive note was the elegant setting of the restaurant and the professional attentive service from the staff. However, the overall experience especially considering the cost and how unwell we felt afterwards was far from what we...
