La Brace Palermo — Restaurant in Palermo

We were ignored for the most part at first. We ordered their chicken (their specialty) and were told that it wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes - and this was after sitting 10-15 minutes before being attended to. So we ordered a pizza instead, and it was the worst pizza I have ever had. I'm not kidding. I ate a third of it because I was famished, otherwise I would have walked away. You can get better frozen pizza. Let me describe it. It was a plain pizza, with very little sauce and cheese on it, and they then simply threw sandwich style ham on it, raw mushrooms (both barely warm), and some chunks of cheese on it and called it a pizza. BTW, my wife did not eat anything, but was still charged a cover charge, to add insult to injury. We ate at a lot of great restaurants during our trip, but, unfortunately, this was the last one before...

Arrived and sat down at 18:45 to sit and wait for a waiter to eventually tell us the kitchen wasn’t open until 19:00. A little frustrated we went for a walk and returned at 19:00, sat inside and weren’t approached by any of the staff until 19:23.

Food was good, 2 half chickens, one with chips, one with roast potatoes. Served within 5 minutes of ordering which was great.

We asked our waiter for the bill, he returned with the machine but engaged in a conversation with the table next to us for 5 minutes before we asked a different waiter for the bill to which I noticed our waiter saw and waved his finger “no” as if he was about to end his conversation and get around to us, he didn’t. Thankfully the second waiter returned despite our waiters sign to him not to come.

Would order take away as they do Uber eats but...

Had a great dinner here. Food was delicious and the staff is beyond awesome. This is the standard of service I expect everywhere, but unfortunately don’t always get it. I give respect and expect respect. And these guys exceed expectations. “Gaspar The Famous” , Ador and Allessandro were friendly, helpful, competent, happy, fun to talk to and they made us feel like we were dining at a home rather than at a restaurant. Price was very reasonable. 3 people €53 for a margarita pizza, spaghetti carbonara, swordfish in sauce, grilled calamari, sparkling water and covers. And we have leftovers for 1 more meal. I recommend that you eat here. Make a reservation, because it fills up fast. Gaspar, you owe me bread to mop up the sauce. I’m coming to pick it up tomorrow. 😂😂😂 I’m just kidding. Un bacio a...
