Waiter tricked us into ordering €65 main course.

When ordering my €15 main course I found out it was pizza, I had eaten pizza for lunch so wanted to choose something else. The waiter suggested a dish and I said “yes sure” - I assumed he would suggest an alternative somewhere in the same price range - the most expensive meal on the menu being about 25€.

At the end of the meal I found out my dish was €65 - more expensive than the rest of the meal and drinks together.

Snaky waiter shame on you.

I was going to give a tip before I realised.

A few years ago that would have really impacted my small holiday budget.

We had a primi then antipasto and a dessert between two of us. This was a great second time eating experience at the restaurant. Both times were really super. We are foodies and recognise really good authentic and freshly cooked and prepared food. Both visits were exceptional. Their best asset is the amazing wine selection. We chose 2 different Etna based Sicilian wines which were great. The food left to be desired, we had a selection of antipasti. My favourite was the sword fish caponata. The rest was passable. The quality of the pan seared tuna was really inferior. The lobster tagliatelle were good. A very mixed experience for lunch.
