La Siciliana - Amuri e Sapuri — Restaurant in Palermo

Exceptional food! Very tasty meats and cheeses. However, at one point during our dinner the owner's/server's child was acting out so she took the child a few meters away and slapped her repeatedly. This was very uncomfortable for us. We wanted to say something but the waiter did not speak any english and even when I used a translator software she kept talking italian to me, with no intention to use the translator. To serve tasty food is one thing, but to treat your children well is more important. Maybe it was a bad day but I tend to prefer my dinners without witnessing...

A pleasant wine bar in an alley that leads off Via Roma at the level of La Rinascente towards Via Maqueda. The food portions at the neighbouring tables: large! Unfortunately, water is served in plastic bottles and plastic cups! The red wines are not chilled, even in summer. Since "room temperature" comes from the Middle Ages as a guideline, back then all wines were stored in unheated cellars... ... red wines should always be served at the right temperature (chilled !!!).

In France, every village...

Passing by I spotted a platter with meet and zucchini.... we went to the Teatro Massimo..and where stopped by many people to.eat in their restaurant... Something was telling me that we need to go back to La Siciliana and I was not wrong! Absolutely fantastic! Service, atmosphere and the food is just amazing! Prepared with love. And to see that maby the owner is looking after her child while working it is just for a praise as I was raised by a working mom... Place to visit and eat my full...
