We are obsessed with Officine Calderai. The coffee is of exceptional quality and expertly prepared. The baristas are professional and friendly. Ask about their daily pastries procured from top, local bakeries. The watermelon jelly crostata is a revelation! While in Palermo we went each day and even returned when we moved to another town over an hour away. The street that it’s on is full of craftsmen, mostly metal workers of kitchen accessories such as tin pans and pizza oven paddles. The coffee shop itself sells one of a kind oil cans by an Italian artist. They are sculptural and works of art. We bought one and will always remember our afternoon hangs there.
