Osteria Dalla Terra Alla Tavola — Restaurant in Palermo

Beware of misunderstandings here! I had opted for the lunch menu with meat. 12 euros for starter, main course, dessert and drink (water or soft drink) plus coffee.

I didn't have the starter because I didn't like any of them. I chose some chicken with salad for the main course. I also skipped the dessert.

And then paid more than the menu costs.

That's annoying.

Apart from that: plastic cups for drinks... In Germany, these cups are only used for urine samples.

The open wine was ok.

And if they had been fair, my separate dessert request of "some cheese" could have counted as a dessert on the menu.

You can eat better and more stylishly elsewhere for the same money.

Incidentally, there is no menu at lunchtime other than the lunch specials. That's what I asked for.

When I saw the bill, I asked why the price was so different from the lunch menu?

I had explicitly asked if there was a menu other than the lunch menu, and the answer was no. So I took parts of the lunch menu and ended up paying "à la carte", even though there was no "à la carte" menu.

Obviously a misunderstanding.

Misunderstandings in favour of the restaurant ;-).

Lunch should actually put you in a good mood. But this time I was disappointed afterwards.

After many months in Palermo, I know how to differentiate between price and quality: This was a very bad one today.

Attenzione ai malintesi! Ho optato per il menu del pranzo con carne. 12 euro per un antipasto, un piatto principale, un dessert e una bevanda (acqua o bibita) più il caffè.

Ho saltato l'antipasto perché non mi piaceva. Ho scelto il pollo con insalata come piatto principale. Ho saltato anche il dessert.

E poi ho pagato più del prezzo del menu.

Questo è fastidioso.

A parte questo: bicchieri di plastica per le bevande.... In Germania questi bicchieri si usano solo per i campioni di urina.

Il vino aperto andava bene.

E se fossero stati corretti, la mia richiesta separata di "un po' di formaggio" avrebbe potuto essere considerata un dessert nel menu.

Quando ho visto il conto, ho chiesto perché il prezzo fosse così diverso dal menu del pranzo. Avevo chiesto espressamente se ci fosse un menu diverso da quello del pranzo e la risposta è stata negativa. Così ho preso parti del menu del pranzo e ho finito per pagare "alla carta" anche se non c'era un menu "alla carta".

Equivoci evidenti.

Malintesi a favore del ristorante ;-).

Per gli stessi soldi si può mangiare molto meglio e con più stile altrove.

Il pranzo dovrebbe mettere di buon umore. Ma questa volta sono rimasto deluso.

Dopo molti mesi a Palermo, riesco a distinguere tra prezzo e qualità: purtroppo, oggi è stato davvero pessimo.

Vorsicht vor Missverständnissen! Ich entschied mich für das Mittagsmenü mit Fleisch. 12 Euro für Vorspeise, Hauptgericht, Nachspeise und Getränk (Wasser oder Softdrink) plus Kaffee.

Die Vorspeise habe ich ausgelassen, weil sie mir nicht zusagt. Als Hauptgericht wählte ich Hühnchen mit Salat. Auch das Dessert habe ich ausgelassen.

Und dann habe ich mehr als den Preis des Menüs bezahlt.

Das ist ärgerlich.

Abgesehen davon: Plastikbecher für Getränke.... In Deutschland werden diese Gläser nur für Urinproben verwendet.

Der offene Wein war in Ordnung.

Und wenn sie korrekt gewesen wären, hätte mein separater Wunsch nach "etwas Käse" als Dessert auf der Speisekarte gelten können.

Als ich die Rechnung sah, fragte ich, warum der Preis so stark vom Mittagsmenü abwich. Ich hatte ausdrücklich gefragt, ob es ein anderes Menü als das Mittagsmenü gibt, und die Antwort war nein. Also nahm ich Teile des Mittagsmenüs und zahlte schließlich "a la carte", obwohl es kein "a la carte"-Menü gab.

Offensichtliche Missverständnisse.

Für das gleiche Geld kann man woanders doch sehr viel.besser und stilvoller essen.

Das Mittagessen soll für gute Laune sorgen. Aber dieses Mal war ich enttäuscht.

Nach vielen Monaten in Palermo kann ich zwischen Preis und Qualität unterscheiden: heute war es leider...

Great place to eat and unwind. I saw that there was a bad review in Google and the owner explained that there was a misunderstanding. Nevertheless there are always reviews that might ruin the business - therefore reviewers like me would like to set the tone.

Went to the restaurant, chose the sea menu. The appetizer came to the table and the owner explained in Italian (which we understood since the the body language helped also) what was in the dish (nice touch). Then the food came which was also quite big and delishious, dessert, coffee and that is it. I have to mention that it was authentic Sicilian food and it would be silly of me not to recommend this place. Definitely consider to visit it while you are in Palermo, since it is a bang in the buck with the price you see.

I have to mention that I am a eater who expects good quality and great price for the food and not a foodie. Thanks for your kindness...

Una esperienza lavorativa veramente brutta: iniziano con farti i complimenti e poi ti trattano male, ovviamente sfruttano anche; fanno lavorare i minorenni per 2€ l’ora, e parlando 5 lingue gli facevo comodo ( ai turisti impaccano birre di 9€ l’una perché; “ non capiscono niente, loro amano spendere e basta”) oltre il fatto che cucinano e assaggiano il cibo e rimettono la forchetta ( o cucchiaio che sia) sporco di nuovo nella padella o pentola, Reciclano la pasta lasciata da uno, dandola a un cliente nuovo tra l’altro non comprano l’acqua da chi dovrebbe rifornirli, prendono le bottiglie già utilizzate dai clienti e le riempiono a casa loro ( frode alimentare), quindi se qualcuno ha bevuto dalla bottiglia e ha la mononucleosi ( per esempio ) ovviamente potrebbero attaccartela. oltre che il “lavoro” cioè sfruttamento (in nero ovviamente) che è anche un reato. Ah, si lamentano se qualcuno chiede qualcosa nel menù, dicendo; “ ma non hanno niente da fare?” Oppure fanno battute con doppi sensi ( dietro le spalle) e offendono i clienti ( professionalità zero) oltre che tutto il cibo è congelato e la carbonara la fanno come se fosse una frittata, LA CARBONARA VIENE FATTA CON IL GUANCIALE NON CON LA PANCETTA. Gli insegnerei a cucinare, ma con la gente che sbaglia i congiuntivi non ci parlo proprio. Non potevamo neanche sederci e usare il cellulare ( QUANDO NON C’era nessuno) ma loro potevano. Mi dicevano di dare i bicchieri di plastica alla gente di “basso livello” cosi dicevano ( muratori e operai) e ai turisti quelli di vetro, a volte non volevano lavare i bicchieri di vetro e mi facevano dare quelli di plastica alla gente. Ah, e ho visto un paio di scarafaggi. ( queste sono cose reali, se i signori volessero contattarmi per denunciarmi, ci vedremo senza problemi ma in presenza di un avvocato 😉) chiunque va a lavorare lì scappa, perché sono persone catt!ve. Mi hanno licenziato dicendo che cercano una figura femminile perché: “ per lavare i gabinetti, pulire a terra, una figura femminile è più brava anche in questo”...
