Oh my sweet goodness, the treats here are delicious! We stopped for a coffee but ended up getting some sweet stuff because it looked so good on the menu. My date got an affogato and I got a house blend and an ice cream hemisphere (of which I've sadly forgotten the name, but you can see it in the photo). My date really enjoyed her affogato and my house blend was good but the ice cream thing I got blew my taste buds off. It was probably the most delicious sweet treat I got during the whole trip to Sicily, and that's saying something. I really like sweet things and this hit the spot. I hate to make double visits to cafes on vacation but I might have to make an exception for this one. That said, the service was a little curt and seemed to be annoyed by our presence, which was odd considering they're in a heavily trafficked tourist area. But I'm still giving the place 5 stars for...

There are two parts to this place - the shop which has a great range of freshly roasted coffees, and the cafe/restaurant.

The shop was spot on. They were very knowledgeable and helped me decide which beans to buy. Well priced and excellent quality.

We were encouraged to enjoy the coffee in their restaurant, which we obliged.

Things went a bit downhill sadly. We were not offered a warm welcome, we had to ask for a menu then we had to ask how to order. We were told it was table service but the minutes went past and no one came.

The staff (all three) were not approachable or warm in any way. I felt an inconvenience to them despite it being relatively quiet.

That being said, the coffee itself and the fresh orange juice were great. It just lacked the service...

I remembered this place from my last visit in Palermo 4 years ago - their ice cream in brioche was a highlight! Therefore I was eager to return, only this time we faced such unwillingness and lack of professionalism in service, which we overcame in the hope of sweet comfort, only to discover their ice cream ain't that of a big deal no more, as in our current experience innPalermo I'd say you find better ones any direction you'd walk - not to mention with high probability you'll get better attitude than this carelessness and disinterest that the waiter showed. Not sure if it's directed at tourists only, English speaking only, or everyone (including locals or Italian speakers) get to...

This little café is an absolute gem! Casa Stagnitta was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. We sat outside in the charming outdoor seating area and savored every bite. The lentil soup was hearty and flavorful, the penne pomodoro was perfectly cooked with a rich, comforting sauce, and the grilled squid with vegetables was fresh, tender, and beautifully prepared. We ended on a high note with the Coppa Gelato—truly fabulous and the perfect sweet finish. Every dish was amazing and full of flavor. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, delicious food in a cozy, welcoming setting!

Never was in a Café Bar in Palermo where tourist treaten unfriendly like this. :( It felt like they don’t want to have tourists as guests, cause all tourist where treaten without kindness and without a smile. But to italian guests they are very friendly. I already gave them a 2. chance but I felt not welcome, so I will avoid this bar. Coffee and (sweet) breakfast are pretty well (the cornetto probably the best I had in Palermo) The salty croissant tasted like they just warm it up from yesterday, but the ham and cheese is still good. But don’t buy the Latte Macchiato! It just tastes like warm milk.
