I have just finished eating lunch with my family(who I see them twice a year). We sat down at 1.30pm and the mains arrived at 3.30pm. But were OK with it as we saw the place was really busy, so we didn't mind waiting. What really made our day disgusting, was the way of treating us, the waiters keep on forgetting our orders even though in my family there was a baby and a 12 year old kid,who were starving for food. I do understand that prices are low, so we did not expect big quality, but c'mon we're from Palermo so we knew what's in every dish and condiments on pastas, were really small and flavorless. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE PLACE, INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING, THE OWNERS CAME TO US TO DISCUSS EVERYTHING THAT WENT WRONG. DISGUSTING OWNERS AND MORE DISGUSTING THE WAY THEY TREATED US. 4 OUT OF 10,WHERE 4 STANDS FOR THE WAITER ONLY AS HE TRIED TO APOLOGIZE.
NOT RECOMMENDED.

Read moreI would give 0 starts if I could. I have never been to a place with such bad service in my life. Made a reservation in advance to be sure we would get a table, seeing as this place always looked full when we walked past. Arrived at the restaurant only for the workers to have no idea of our reservation and have us wait for a table to be cleared. We stood around outside for 10 minutes before anyone came out to start clearing up. The whole process of clearing the table took 2 waiters over a 5 minute period. Finally seated and we had not been brought any menus. One of the 3 servers working, came out to bring utensils but still no menus. I had to go inside the restaurant just to ask for someone to bring us menus and even in doing so it took another 5 mins before ever getting them. We sat around for another 10 mins only for the waiter to come out and tell us he’ll be back to get our orders. Take a guess! No one ever came back! To conclude, we ended up just...
Read moreBy far the best Osteria experience I had in Palermo. Unpretentious and uncomplicated traditional Sicilian food at its best. Portions were big and tasty. Great value for the money you pay. It's neat and clean and the music also was at a sensible level (Smooth vocal Jazz, to whom it may concern). Perfect for a walk in as well, as they have plenty of space (inside) and a few tables outside. Staff was friendly and helpful even though our Italian was basically non-existant. Housewine was absolutely drinkable and you can order in carafes, as well. We had the Caponata and Pasta Anciova as well as a simple but traditional aglio olio (correct name I forgot, scusi, but with freshly chopped parsley and chili added, basically). Wonderful last dinner for me and my wife. Wished we had gone there earlier already....
