Seidita Steakhouse is absolutely incredible. From the time I walked in to when I left, the staff went absolutely above and beyond and catered the dining experience to me.
After being seated, I was quickly approached and asked if/what I wanted to drink and was promptly delivered my beverage. After I ordered, they brought out complimentary bread with 3 different Italian olive oils and a yummy potato, tomato and anchovy dip. Not only do they let you inspect your cut of steak before it's cooked, there's a window where you can see straight into the kitchen and watch the chef both carve and cook your steak. Absolutely impeccable.
For my first course, I had the Pacchero al Ragu which was excellent; the meat was soft and tender and was blended effectively into a delicious and flavorful sauce.
For my main course, I had a piece of the Japanese A5 Wagyu. Complete with the staffed sommelier, Seidita really curates the guest experience that anyone would desire. I enjoyed the paired wine (the Calice Chardonnay) with my A5 Wagyu. It also came with the wonderful egg yolk that is traditional to enjoy Wagyu with in Japan. The steak was priced fairly and was cooked to perfection; it came pre-cut into smaller pieces as well and was seasoned with the perfect amount of salt.
After dinner, I had the home-made traditional Sicilian cannoli; filled with ricotta and sprinkled with chocolate chips, it tasted splendid. The sommelier recommend a glass of the Malvasia Capofaro which was an excellent semi-sweet wine that paired perfectly with my dessert.
Even after I had paid my tab, the staff gave me a few tasty biscuits with a small pour of tasty complimentary whiskey. I am still in awe over how good this meal was.
This was not only the best food I had the chance to eat in Palermo or in Italy, but was almost certainly the best dining experience...
Read moreWe recently had dinner at Seidita Steakhouse in Palermo, and while the experience had its ups and downs, I’d like to share an honest and emotionally balanced reflection.
First and foremost, the staff truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated with genuine care. Their attentiveness and kindness made a strong impression on us, especially when they offered my wife a complimentary glass of wine to celebrate her birthday — a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. It’s clear the team takes pride in creating a positive atmosphere for their guests.
That said, the kitchen experience was a bit uneven. While we were looking forward to our meals, the timing between the kitchen and the serving staff seemed slightly off. When our food arrived, both the meat and the potatoes were unfortunately cold, and the vegetables were overcooked. This took away from what could have been a more enjoyable main course.
On a brighter note, I was pleasantly surprised to see alcohol-free beer on the menu — a thoughtful inclusion that many restaurants overlook. The dessert was presented creatively, which we appreciated, though for my taste it was overly sweet. I ended up eating just a portion of it. However, we finished the meal with a well-made espresso, which we both enjoyed.
Overall, Seidita has potential, especially with such a warm-hearted team. With a bit more attention to kitchen timing and consistency in the dishes, it could become a truly memorable dining spot. I’m grateful for the hospitality and small touches that made the evening special, despite the...
Read moreDuring my recent sojourn in Sicily, I had the pleasure of dining at Seidita Steak House & Lounge Bar, an establishment that beautifully marries Japanese finesse with Sicilian heartiness. This unique culinary fusion delivered one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in years.
The evening commenced with an exceptional starter: truffle-infused beef on crispy fried bread. The intricate flavors of the truffle paired perfectly with the tender beef, creating a delightful symphony of taste and texture. This appetizer alone set a high standard for the rest of the meal.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the steak. Perfectly cooked to my liking, it was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—a true testament to the restaurant's expertise. It had been years since I last enjoyed a steak of such remarkable quality, and Seidita's offering surpassed all expectations.
To conclude this exquisite meal, I indulged in a peanut and chocolate dessert that was nothing short of sublime. The rich, creamy chocolate combined with the subtle crunch of peanuts provided a perfect ending to a fabulous dinner.
