Edit: You should really visit a restaurant several times before writing a review. Today: salad with about a quarter as much chicken as on the first visit. The bread was bone dry. The chili oil: rancid. 🤷♀️ ☆☆☆☆☆ How great to still be able to eat here at 1am. My salad with chicken and very good parmesan was very, very plentiful and just as delicious. Wonderfully friendly, cordial, good-humored staff - even at night after a very long shift and 30 degrees outside. Chapeau 👌. The open wine: also very good. Ingenious, both visually and for temperature reasons, the idea with the beautiful brass cups.
A second visit today: the crunchy pizza made me curious, because I only like pizza crispy.
A (late) discovery on my part in the busy tourist mile of Via Maqueda.
The crunchy pizza: delicious crispy crust, next time I will only want to order it with tomatoes and parmesan so that the whole base is nice and crispy and not soggy from the ricotta.
See you next time!
[...and then I hope I eat more than 1/6 pizza and a slice of bread for...
Read moreHonestly one of the worst dining experiences my partner and I have ever had.
I’m not sure if we were just unlucky or if this is just the norm but everything we had was not seasoned at all. The pizza we ordered had no tomato sauce although the description stated it had a tomato base. When we asked for some waitress brought some out and it was literally just plain passata, no herbs, no seasoning, nothing.
We ordered the baked potatoes with pistachio sauce and, again, it had no taste whatsoever.
I’ve literally had freezer pizzas for £2 which tasted better.
When I went to the toilet one of the waitresses approached my partner and started sitting other guests at our table, essentially kicking us off the table before we had even finished paying for the meal. Shocking.
The only way I can foresee this place having such high ratings on google is that they have farmed/bought a load of fake reviews from a marketing agency. You’d be better served calling domino’s...
Read morePros: Location, however, others might find it too loud or too crowded Pizza (I had a full pizza, not a slice) was freshly made Very fast service
Cons: -Weird pizza combination, not tasty for me: massive dought edge covers half of the pizza; diavola with a lot of onion became sweet instead of spicy. Quite oily in the middle, dry on the edge. Not the first diavola I had in Italy, probably the worst one. I heard a similar opinion from an older Italian couple sitting nearby -Aperol spritz price. Drinks are not included in the menu, not listed anywhere in the bar - get ready for a surprise. -Waitress approaching and forcing a customer to leave a good review on google maps, in my opinion, was quite intrusive (even touching my phone). It is ok to ask, but being more discrete would be recommended. -Overall...
