If I could give more than five stars, I would. We ate there yesterday late in the evening and though all the tables were taken, the waiter asked us if we'd like to wait until one is available and in the meantime he offered us menus to browse. It was absolutely worth the wait, the pizzas are over the top delicious and beautiful with quality ingredients and their wine is also very pleasant. We enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the chance to taste all this delicacy, the restaurant workers had all really cool and easy-going personalities, the prices are favourable as well. We are also restaurant-workers on vacation here and I'd like to take my chance and send a message to all the people who give bad reviews based on misconceptions and malignancy: you come here from all over the world and fail to respect the people and the spirit of the local culture - so basically you are the ones who get those messages on the walls saying 'tourist go home'; once you stop this 'touristy' behaviour, you can begin to appreciate the little things in life that actually matter. So thank you guys in Assud, we loved everything and I hope to come back in the future. Hopefully next time I can also order in perfect Italian as I want to learn it, you and your country are all...

Deductions in the B grade: the mineral water comes from plastic bottles and there are no tempered red wines here either, because "we are not France" (quote).
Oh yes... when I think of the great cheeses, champagnes and wines in Paris and the surrounding area... sometimes you just want to take...
Read moreSure are a few reviews here from people who haven't fully understood what's on offer. We had high expectations already based on the more coherent reviews but they were exceeded by a long shot. In addition to the great service and super friendly staff - love their colourful uniforms by the way - the pizza is out of this world. Fresh tomatoes are better than tomato sauce, fight me. In all seriousness, instead of comparing this to other styles of pizza, enjoy it for what it is - Sicilian style and very well executed at that. Best pizza we've tried hands down, and it's not our first or second time in Palermo. Dessert was delicious too, the tiramisu has CHOCOLATE CHIPS, a first for me and should honestly be a standard. All in all a fabulous meal and we'll be back ASAP to try...
