We went early on a Sunday evening and found they didn't open until 7.00 pm. We returned at 7.00 and were very pleased that we did. We were the only customers on a late November Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our entire dining experience. There were some challenges with communication but it simply added to our enjoyment. We ordered beer and wine and two courses each. Service simply indicated that everything was being prepared fresh which suited us fine. Our waiter, Nicola, was a little tentative but once we showed him that we were friendly turned out to be delightful. Overall excellent food at a good price and friendly and attentive service. Don’t go there if you don’t speak Italian, it’s a true tourist trap. The pictures on the menu are not even close to the real food (and portion) you get, the oysters weren’t fresh at all, (which caused some issues later); they charged 6 euros for 6 small slices of zucchini (which was ordered by us as grilled vegetables since they don’t bring any side dish to the expensive main courses - apparently some slices of zucchini count as grilled vegetables). The waiter was nervous because he couldn’t even understand my Italian explanation, not to mention the English. Ultimately, the bill was horrible for this terrible service and bad food. We booked a reservation via TheFork. When we got there and wanted to order wine and a starter we were told we could not. We each had to place 2 main orders at the same time to get the discount. Then only to find out they did not have the pasta dish we wanted we asked if we could just cancel and order. We were told not we could not and had to place the complete order all at once.
