Disappointing experience. The place is gorgeous, the wine selection is fantastic but honestly the food is mediocre and the service was terrible. I confidently made a reservation after reading plenty of reviews, checking the menu and looking at photos. I do not think that the reviews reflects what the food or service really is. I have to preface that we did not expect fast service that we can get in big metropolitan cities however: there were no greetings by the servers from the moment we entered We had to wait a long time just for water and to order food. The server apologized that he forgot to bring our water We were ignored by the servers even after calling them We were not offered the dessert menu yet our plates were removed quickly after we finished our main course All other customers were catered to but not us We honestly felt uncomfortable and not welcomed in the establishment. The quality of the food (fresh produce) was there but the execution made it unmemorable. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you are like me a foodie (member of an international gastronomic club, La Chaîne). I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Sicilian restaurant in the centre of Palermo, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that instantly transported me to the heart of Sicily.

The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Sicilian dishes. I started with the arancini, which were perfectly crispy on the outside.

For the main course, I opted for the pasta alla Norma. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were rich and well-balanced.

To accompany my meal, I chose a local Sicilian wine recommended by the knowledgeable staff. It was the Planeta Red, perfect pairing that enhanced the flavors of the food and added to the overall dining experience.

We arrived and waited 20 minutes without receiving any menus. Eventually, a waitress approached and asked if we were ready to order—despite us clearly not having the menus they usually provide. After confirming we were ready, we waited another 15 minutes without any further interaction.

When water was finally brought to the table, I asked to order wine and starters. The waitress informed me that a colleague would handle that part of the order. Unfortunately, no one came for the next 15 minutes, and at that point, we decided to leave.

Before leaving, I offered to pay for the water we had received, but they kindly said it wasn’t necessary. While I appreciate that gesture, the overall experience was unacceptable. We were left feeling ignored and unwelcome, and it’s disappointing to see such a lack of basic...
