A racist place!

My fiancé and I visited the place tonight (Oct. 29, 2022) after just arriving in Pavia and wanting to grab dinner. We had passed the place a few times previously and decided to check it out upon briefly studying the menu. A few moments later we asked to be seated, which already seemed like a pain to the „bouncer“, as we were briefly indicisive. We were eventually seated by a waiter. As I don‘t speak Italian, but my fiancé does, the waiter asked if I I would prefer to be seated next to or opposite of her so he could remove the additional cutlery from table of four. As I had just arrived, I was carrying my luggage with me, which seemed to be yet another botheration to the staff. The waiter left and never returned to our table - but instead attended to every other one, including to guests arriving after us. After being seated for approx. 10 min without being attending to, we had to ask for the menu, with the waiter responding if we hadn’t already ordered - how, without a menu and when being deliberately ignored by all staff?

Upon making our dinner choice and waiting for another 10 min, the waiter replied, his colleague would take our order, while continuing to attend to each and every other table, excepting ours, which, surprisingly, were only occupied by white guests.

At that point it was clear, this place is not welcoming towards people of colour and we definitely were not going to be served. Despite the penny dropping at some point, we still waited, giving the staff the final benefit of the doubt, but eventually left a few mins later, after this condescending experiencing and outright act of pure racism at Molto Piu.

If u are not of white complexion, but a person of colour, and don’t speak the language, avoid this place and spare yourself this disgraceful treatment.

Since other reviews confirm the shameless character of this hole in the wall‘s staff, but with the place yet being around since so many years, it‘s unlikely this racist clubhouse will be shut down or change its attitude towards people that don‘t match their prejudice...

Went there with a friend and ordered the following.

Ortolana Napoletana Aqua tonica Espresso Dessert

Pizza Napoletana was amazing and since I wanted to have veg, so requested them to remove the fish and instead add pomodorini gialli ( yellow tomatoes ) which they did.

I just loved it, it was so soft, cheesy and post long conversation with my friend it remained so till the last slice was consumed - even the " cornicione " ( the doughy edge ).

On the other hand, the Ortolana didn't appeal much to my friend as it was really a different on and she had expected something as cheesy as Napoletana. But it was good in its own way how it had to be as per the recipe.

Aqua tonica was a personal choice that I find to be going well with the food, being the milder version of sprite as per taste but this one of " Kinley " was a little stronger on the fizz that it's counterparts.

Coming to the dessert, once again the one which I ordered was the chocolate brownie/cake along with ice-cream. Cake was topped with a yellow cherry ( probably that's what it's called ) and chocolate sauce, which was also decoratively drizzled on the plate. It was sugar dusted along with broken pieces of nuts to add to the completeness and heavyness ( in my opinion ) and a lemon slice leaning on the cake.

Lemon slice was quite dry but still citrusy, cake and the sauce were dense and icecream comparative light. Amazing!!!

The other dessert for my friend was a simple one with large circular slices of pineapples topped with grated chocolate crumbs and an ice-cream scoop on the side.

We had dinner at this restaurant yesterday, but we experienced terrible treatment by the manger who insulted and harassed us in front of everyone because we had a table set for 6 and there were only 5 of us who ordered 2 pizzas , burger and drinks. We tried to explain to him that we were waiting for another person and we were planning to order more, but he did not accept it and kept shouting in Italian in a very rude way. The waiter spoke English and tried to be nice but the manager was so discouraging, we have never had such an unpleasant experience, in the end we ordered more and told our friend not to come to this restaurant and we will never visit it again. and we strongly recommend you not to go to this restaurant to save...
