The old rule sais: If you want to check something properly, do it yourself. If I had read the reviews, I would never have gone there. But I hadn't... Thank goodness! The food was magnificent, the wine was perfectly selected, all you had to do, was trust the waiter (or the owner?). To be clear, at a very good price. Portions size vary, depending on what you order. The waiter (owner?) serves more in the English style. than in the Italian - quite restrained. I like. Prices reasonable. We ate: ravioli with ricotta, truffles, butter and black pepper - extraordinary! spaghetti with vongolas - super tasty and spicy! risotto al Chianti with crispy prosciutto - perfect! Tiramisu - excellent! (wife's opinion, I didn't want to loose the taste of risotto :-) ) wine: Ser Lapo Reserva 2020. One of the best meal in Italy in my...

Get away from the tourist spots. This is the real deal. I have eaten here twice and wish I could continue to come here. The owner, a gentleman with a big warm and welcoming smile, clearly takes pride in his food and wine. I tried the eggplant and mozzarella starter - so good! The bread with the meal is fresh which is more than I can say for other places I have eaten in over the last few weeks of travelling the Liguria coast. The white wine I had was light and delicious. I have tried both ravioli dishes. I have noticed locals dine here as do tourists. It's an original menu unlike the other places to eat in the main tourist areas. I encourage you to go slightly off the beaten track for wonderful food,...

Today we ordered beef steak medium done as main dish (secondi plati) for 30 euro each. Half of each stake was well done and half was raw. Moreover, this steak was very poor quality - the meat was hard to cut and had a lot of fat. Those were the worst steaks we have ever eaten. We informed the waiter about the issues. He offered to cook the steak more but it would not change the poor quality of the meat. On our request to lower the price the waiter said no and laught. The pineaple juice was from concentrate. The only good thigs are that the waiter speaks good English and the pizza ordered as starter was quite good. We do not recommend...

This is the worst restaurant I have ever seen in Italy. After this visit I've learnt why it always make sense to read online opinions before ordering anything. I ordered a pizza with three kinds of cheese so it should not be possible to get a dry pizza. After waiting for an hour I received a dry pizza, you can even spot how fractured it was straight out of the oven. Wow, they should be famous in the category of restaurants serving the most dry pizza. If you are into such then you will be satisfied here. If you are into something that has a taste go elsewhere, please.
