I’ve got this place recommended, by someone local. I was surprise by selection. But when it comes to the service, it was very messy. First we stayed in the line, where we wanted to ask and point at the things we want, as some of them were missing name tags. But we were sent to the counter - basically there were two queues, so people didn’t know where to take an order and pay. Finally, when it was our turn, to take the order we asked only for one ice cream and one savoury dough with some parma, mozzarella, rucola and dried tomatoes. Lady by the cash register took wrong order, instead of one ice cream, there were two. We get something else instead. But the ice cream was delicious. I would recommend to find better system by...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Martinucci, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. Among the variety of delicious treats, the traditional Italian cookie, Pasticciotto, truly stood out.

From the first bite, I was transported to pastry heaven. The delicate, buttery crust perfectly balanced with the rich, creamy filling—this was easily the best thing I've ever tasted. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine, making it clear why Pasticciotto is such a cherished classic.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss out on this delightful treat. I can’t...

I regret not taking a picture of our ice creams We are Italians and we know good ice cream by experience, and this is the worse in Polignano Ice cream texture was watery and there was no flavor at all. Not to mention we ordered 2 scoops and the ratio of the scoops was 90/10. A massive scoop of one and just a smear of the 2nd scoop. We were speechless!! Thankfully it was cheap Definitely a place for tourists who have no idea what good ice cream /italian gelato tastes like Bella Blue next door is wayyyyyu better! Don’t waste your gelato...

We had to make a stop here for brunch as we had read so many good reviews about this place. It was a must to eat a pasticciotto as it's from the Apulia region. We ordered 1 x lemon/almond and 1 x pistacchio/rocotta, they weren't overly sweet so it wasn't sickly but definitely 1 is enough. My partner also had a sandwich which was super tasty too. Would definitely recommend for a quick treat.
