Elisir Ristorante e Bistrot — Restaurant in Rapallo

Service was Ok. BUT it is too expensive for very a basically meal. We had to pay 90 euro for just 2 boring dishes (in Photo). Especially we had to pay automatically 3 euro per person, when we took the table. In Venedig we just paid 1,5 euro pp for it. Actually we went to Elisir, because we saw the lobster pasta online as well as in the menu. But the Restaurant didn’t have it, and they recommended me to take a scampi pasta with the same price. I was so disappointed, when i got the scampi pasta with only one scampi on the top. I also asked them about the small scampi. They said that they mixed 5 scampis with the noodles. I think, there were just 1-2 scampis in the noodles. They said the lobster pasta is just available, when the lobster is cheap and it’s very difficult to get cheap lobster and normally they don’t have it.

So when you go to Elisir to eat a lobster pasta, if the waiter told you they don’t have lobster and recommend other dish. You should check...

Had an awful dinner here with my parents. We all had cotaletta alla milanese which arrived about 5 minutes after we ordered so can’t have been freshly prepared. The veal was beef going by the colour, and so tough it must have been microwaved. Absolutely no flavour and uninspiring presentation. Seriously the worst I have had ever.

It was absolutely empty every time we went past over the 5 days we were in Rapallo and it’s no surprise.

Message for the owner - don’t serve food if you can’t be bothered to make it with care. And if you have a restaurant that’s empty maybe don’t rush your only customers out? That said, we didn’t want to...

Unfortunately small meal sizes at proportionally high prices. Bad value for the money. If you are very hungry this is not the place to go. Supposeed to be a seafood restaurant but both fish platter was sold out... Those are the bad things. The good things are: nice and friendly staff, clean and good location. The taste of the food was good and of high quality. Everyone needs to judge individually what is more important for them to be happy. For me a good price-performance ratio is the game changer.
