Pizza & Faina La Spezia — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

We came here for lunch after it was recommended by our Airbnb hosts as one of the few pizza places in Riomaggiore to use fresh dough. It's takeaway only but there are benches right outside to sit and eat.

On the first day, we ordered the quattro formaggi pizza which was delicious so we could see why it was recommended. A few days later, we came back again in the evening. Unfortunately our second pizza (pesto) was not as good as the base was very different. Not sure if they had run out of fresh dough by that time of day, but we were slightly disappointed after our first pizza...

Delicious pizza 👌🏾 Do yourself a favour and order one, then take it down to the marina and eat it with a view of the sea!

The pizza itself was great. No it’s not sourdough or wood fired, but for takeaway pizza it’s great and the toppings were plentiful and fresh. Myself and my partner shared a “big”size and it filled us up with just enough room left for gelato.

Oh and be sure to try the lemon moretti drink! Really refreshing and so...

I am unable to eat gluten. Being senza glutine in Italy was no problem. Especially with naturally gluten free regional food like Farinate.
