My husband and I booked this experience for a day that was forecasted bad weather and unfortunately we both wish we had done something else instead. We have done wine tasting experiences before in Italy, as well as other European countries, and this really did fall way short on value for money. Firstly, Roberto is a lovely man who clearly has a love for what he does and that is lovely to see. Sadly the commentary from his wife, Alessandra, was disturbing and perhaps she was having a bad day based on the other reviews I have read here. We did not appreciate the comments she made and she made the environment really uncomfortable for us both, who were the only couple in attendance. I think any personal views and strong opinions she should aim to keep to herself so as not to attend paying visitors. At the end, after nearly an hour of watching video footage we had about an ounce of wine, a sweet slightly thick product. No more was given that this but I'm not sure you would want much more. It would have been better if they had other types to taste as 60 euro for a little bit of one wine each is too expensive. Alessandra left and welcomed in two friends towards the end which we feel was planned to make us leave but we were greatful for the excuse. If you are booking an experience like this in the area I would say visit one of the offerings on Riomaggiores main street instead as we saw a few restaurants offering tasting of...
Read moreIf you're looking for a winery experience that's intimate, look no further than than this family-run vineyard in Cinque Terre.
From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, as if you're a long-lost family member. The vineyard sits atop the town of Riomaggiore, with stunning views.
The tasting experience here is truly one-of-a-kind. The family who run the vineyard take great pride in their craft, and they're more than happy to share their knowledge and passion with you.
What sets this vineyard apart, however, is the sense of intimacy and connection you'll feel with the family who runs it. They'll share their stories and traditions with you, and you'll come away feeling like you've not only tasted some of the best wine in Italy, but you've also made some new friends and have learned about the historical context of the town.
Overall, I can't recommend this family-run vineyard in Cinque Terre enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable winery experience that will leave you feeling inspired and connected, this is the...
