The service was terrible. Firstly we ordered a bottle of wine and the lady brought us another wine almost double the price without consulting with us. She didn't even know how to open the bottle so we had to help her. She didn't allow us to taste the wine before filling the glasses and she had no idea how to hold a wine glass. The Prosciutto E Melone was ok but the mixed cheese platter was terrible. There were only 2 medium quality poorly sliced type of cheeses. The bread was also very old. We ordered something sweet and she brought us something else so we had to return it. And when we wanted to pay, she demanded us to tip her. She wasn't happy with the tip so she came to our table and gave us the rest of the money really aggressively. When I wanted to confront her about the behavior she was really rude to me. I had never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant before! I would not recommend it. There are thousands of other restaurants in Rome with nicer, more professional staff and much...
Read moreTerrible staff service. Bland, tasteless food. Strange ordering process where you pay at the cashier, but the deli counter doesn't know what you purchased, so you have to constantly manage the people collecting your food. We bought some food to go, but the cashier said the affogato should be eaten at the restaurant because they don't have a good way to pack it in a to go container. We tried to sit down at a table to eat the affogato and had a different waiter kick us out of the table saying we did not pay for the privilege to sit down!!! I showed them the receipt for the food and told them that the cashier told us the affogato was for here, but the waiter still ask me and my kids to vacate our table (even though NO ONE WAS WAITING FOR A TABLE). On top of the horrible service, the food was tasteless. The lasagna had no flavor. The bread for the panini was rock hard and had obviously been sitting...
Read moreI can't recommend this spot enough! We had 4 dinners in Rome and had 3 of them at this delightful restaurant. On the first visit, we started chatting with the staff, who were friendly and funny. They welcomed us and made us feel valued as guests. The food was amazing. We loved the Quattro formaggi pizza and the pasta carbonara. The caprese salad had really fresh tomatoes and the mozzarella and prosciutto was a perfect starter. Each time the servers brought us a delicious treat at the end of the meal that was a perfect wrap up for a wonderful dinner. On our last night, we said a sad goodbye and our favorite server gifted us with a bag of their freshly ground coffee so that we would remember them when we got home.
We thought the prices were reasonable and the view and people watching from the table were an added bonus!! When you go to Rome, be sure to check out...
