Disappointing Service and Overpriced Surprise: I joined a friend who had already ordered when a Bangladeshi waiter came to take my order. He seemed visibly upset when I only asked for water, which felt very unwelcoming. My friend had ordered a pizza and was recommended the gnocchi by one of the waitresses — Honestly, it was the worst pizza and gnocchi we’ve ever tasted. I live in Montenegro, and even the most basic places there serve better gnocchi at a more reasonable price. Later, my friend asked for two scoops of ice cream for her son and requested if they could write "Happy Birthday" on the plate. Without confirming with us, they added waffles, chocolate sticks, whipped cream, and strawberries — and then charged €10 for it. Her son was happy, so we let it go. However, when we went to pay the bill, the same waitress who brought the surprise repeatedly asked for a tip, claiming it was for the “extra effort.” When we politely declined, her fake smile quickly disappeared, and her attitude turned cold.
Only one male waiter was kind — the rest were unpleasant and seemed more interested in tips than offering genuine service. Foreign staffs need proper training in hospitality, not just tip-chasing. Tips will come with good service only! Atmosphere: The music and view were the only good things about this place. Everything else — food, service, and value — was a major letdown. Not...
Read moreThe worst experience ever. Never go there... We were robbed in this restaurant. We had table next to the entrance to the restaurant. There were 2 tables on the left side and tables behind us. Somehow, took out backpack that noone saw.... They don't have cameras, they don't watch. Police station 2 steps away from the restaurant. It seems they all work together.... And police is aware of their business.... They apologised few times... However they charged us full price.. My mother evaluated situation 10 times... People from next cafe said that girls with parents might have played a role in robbery. I didn't see any person coming close to us. We stood to take a picture with Italian girls, when my mother turned there was no backpack anymore. All passports, cash, glasses, driving licence, medication, phone and so on... The worst experience in all my life.... Unbelievable... Their mafia and government working together on this... I will never believe that police seating 2 steps away couldn't do something... When I reported the police just said go to that guy and do the report... Careless... Totally shocked.... These kind of people make this country the worst in...
Read moreWell, there is something about Italy's pizza. The moment you take a bite, it feels like yes I am having something fresh (not like frozen back here in the USA) also its not burning hole in your pocket. Under 10-12 euros, you can have one of their specialty pizzas.
We were tired after visiting the Altar of the fatherland and decided to have lunch here. Every cafe in Europe is very compact, they don’t have much space and tables are so close to each other, you'll feel like you are having a meal with strangers. Kidding. But yes, it was compact or they have so many tables in a small space.
We sit upstairs with a view of the Altar of the fatherland. They have 3 tables in the balcony (even waiter cannot reach to the table, they pass dishes to the neighboring table to pass on the required table)..haha.. it was a funny scene.
We ordered Caesar salad and Pizza con Pollo (chicken cheese pizza) and the pizza were really good, tasty and fresh. Service was very slow and dull though. One server was handling all the tables. I requested for photo and he said:" don’t you see I am serving " :(
Of course its prime tourist spot so I can’t have my say. Food was...
