My father wanted to watch the World Cup, and they had the game playing. Though the menu was 30% overpriced for comparable food at other establishments, we sat down since we wanted to catch the game. The service was slow and poor, with the waiter giving off a strong attitude. The place was small and stuffy, with no air conditioning. But we relented with that situation, knowing this we sat down. My mother had only wanted an ice cream cone, and knowing that they sold it, I wanted to get one. The wait staff, asked me to stay seated, and instead pointed to the menu with the flavours and fancy ice cream. I pointed to one flavour. They gave us one cone. —- I gestures towards the ice cream stand. They understood. I thought it was clear that, just a simple ice cream was what I wanted. Like what other people were eating. Many passer-Byers ordered an ice cream and sat down. The wait staff knew very clearly what I wanted. Instead, he purposely ordered things this way, so we would end up paying 8 dollars for a small ice cream cone. I was surprised. Belligerent. It wasn’t what I intended, and I made my intentions clear, and they failed to communicate it clearly prior to ordering. So. It was 31$ for 1L of beer (15$ euros) one cup of fruits, and one ice cream. Be warned. Do not recommend. A scammy establishment targeting tourists.

WE GOT SCAMMED BIG TIME!! WE BOUGHT JUST 2 SANDWICHES. ONE SMALL LATTEE AND ONE SMALL COKE .As we saw the prices we was on a tight budget...when my daughter paid she froze...I approached her she told me he charged us over DOUBLE THE PRICE..I demaded to see the receipt..with that he tore it out of my daughters hand and ripped it up!! I STOOD MY GROUND..and people were staring ...their excuse? We sat down! I challenged them where does it say this..? The 3 behind the bar waffled in Italian and just laughed and IGNORED US! Iwill also report this to trip advisor!! I pray that KARMA GETS THESE GREEDY PEOPLE..AWFUL And it was on HOLY PALM SUNDAY!! I wished Id read the poir reviews on prior to mine..IF YOU'RE thirsty..drink from the plenty free water fountains all over Rome...then wait till you find a cheaper place that wont rip you off.DISGUSTED!! BUT Ihave just found out what they done was highly illegal in Rome ...There is domething similar to UK trading standards called "Finanzia polizia" if you say that to them it should make them wise up..if I wouldve known this I wouldve challenged them MORE! COMPLETE RIP OFF PLACE!!

Due to the café being in close proximity to the Vittoriano it is a proper tourist trap. If you sit down, you can expect to pay five and a half euros for a soda. The sandwiches and pastries weren’t ridiculously priced but pricier than other places. a Panini was around 6 1/2 euros and a pastry 3. There was also a service fee of 7 euros because we sat down. Do yourself a favor and do not sit down because they will push you to do so if you want something, grab it and leave, but the food was also nothing more than what you’d expect from a cafe. The view from here should be great, but there is construction blocking the view so you’re paying towards trap prices for nothing. They will also push you to pay with cash.

We came here for an early breakfast before a visit of the Colonna Palace, my grandmother thought it was a nice spot and so we sat down and ordered, everything was fine and so we ordered in total two croissants, one coffee, and a lemonade. The food was fine, we are from Paris, so we knew that it wasn’t a very authentic taste, but still fine nevertheless. As my grandmother went to go pay, the lady at the counter started telling her that it was 19 dollars, when we had only counted thirteen. This is what we told her and she started going off that in Paris, a cappuccino costs 7 euros a piece. My grandmother whispered to me that this was in fact a.tourist trap. When the employee heard that, she went balistic ! She started listing the amount of people that had eaten there over the years (ps. It was quite funny) Trust us; go to another place, you...
