We checked into the hotel that this restaurant is affiliated with a few days ago. Upon check in, our room wasn’t ready so the concierge Alex gave us a mini tour of the hotel and ended with grabbing us a table at this restaurant for breakfast (we didn’t ask for this but thought it was kind of him at the time). We sat down and asked for a cappuccino… that’s it. Orange juice and mini croissants were brought out with our cappuccino (which we didn’t ask for but I thought ok maybe they’re just really hospitable here or maybe this is the standard treat for their hotel guests- Hyatt globalists are always treated to breakfast at Hyatt properties and some SLH properties honor this). Little did I know that I would be handed a 42 euro bill for this when again, I only asked for a cappuccino. Read moreI went to this restaurant for lunch, and decided to sit inside. They gave me menu and then I waited 20 minutes to order. I asked the waiter twice to order, he asked me to wait. Now let’s talk about the food. I’ve ordered zucchini flowers with ricotta cheese and truffle pasta for the main, plus glass of wine. Zucchini flowers were covered in breadcrumbs and fried with lots of oil. They were played on little bit of salad and a bit of sauce. It was tasteless, not seasoned, not even salted. McDonald’s type of food with no soul. Then the main came, truffle pasta. It was the first time when a restaurant served me pasta with canned truffles. They just poured it on pasta, super oily. Unappetizing. Moreover, the waiter gave me small fork that’s used for deserts. When I asked him to change, he told me there’s no clean forks left. Worst...
Read moreRecommended by a local friend, discovered this gem of a restaurant, just a stone’s throw away from the Spanish Steps. Started off with some cocktails at their Bar/Lounge with some truly unique and enjoyable signature libations. Bartender Frederico was knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. Headed across the hall for dinner where we were welcomed by ever-affable manager, Michele. He navigated us through the menu and when asked for recommendations, he was both generous and sincere in his offerings. The appetizers, pasta were exceptional but the Pinsa and Cesanese wine were our favorites of the evening. Although I don’t frequent hotel restaurants when traveling, this destination is certainly a classic that offers exceptional food in a truly Romanesque...
