Food wasn't bad but service was poor. This would be a restaurant wanting to get in upscale but service was a lot closer to McDonald's level or worst. First, when we went in, we were told to wait for 2 minutes, someone will be with us shortly, so we stepped asides and starting to go through the menu, 5 minutes later someone walked up to us informed us saying he wasn't sure if we have been told but only 4 options of tasting menu are available and only outdoor seats. Which we were fine with but then sat there for about 15 minutes with no one so much of walk up to us, until I decided to walk up and ask if we could be seated, he replies he thought we were still deciding as if we needed 15 minutes to go through 4 options or 15 minutes to wait for completely empty area of outdoor seating. So as soon as we sat down we let the waitress know we were ready to order and then placed thr order with her, just to have another guy walked up to us 5 minutes later asking us to place an order..........????? First dish came and we finished, empty plates sitting there for a good while and guess what, same guy who wanted to place my orders the second time standing behind my table playing with his phone for another 10 minutes. As I said before 4 options of tasting menus, 4 courses each, after we finished the second dish and his play time on his phone, came any lay down you desert spoons, completely skipped the 3rd dish we both thought we heard wrong until we actually saw him placing our desert, so we corrected him saying we should be on our 3rd. He took the desert away then after a while came back with the 3rd course and guess what, he then bring out and left the desert on the table next to us. After we finished 3rd we were actually wondering if we are going to have to go over and grab the desert ourselves instead of letting it melt right on our next table while this guy AGAIN having fun with his phone.
When the waiter can't even remember how many courses on a night that they only have 4 options on, I can hardly agree they worth the price, and just FYI the 1 star I am giving was from the quality of food,...
Read moreI gave a 3 for food, 2 for service and 2 for atmosphere. Below are the reasons.
Service: I booked online on Mar 28th for a table and got confirmation. When I arrived, the restaurant seems not able to find my reservation so they put us outside on a 10 degree Celsius night. When we asked for a table inside, the manager said it was reserved. Please tell me how that is different from my reservation? Did they pay more? I booked a 730 PM and they are reserved for 830 PM? I arrived first shouldn’t I get to pick the table? The server did not carefully hold our food when he tried to deliver it. He was carrying the dishes like a briefcase.
Food: The food is average and nothing near perfect. I tried the fresh black truffle pasta and it was indeed average. You can barely tell that is a truffle. The way they cooked it is destroying the origin flavor of the truffle. And it does not worth €68. The best dishes we ordered are the starters.
Atmosphere: We were put outside with a warming light but still a cold breeze came from time to time. None of us is in the mood of enjoying the atmosphere and with cars driving past us, I cannot...
Read moreMost likely the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten in Rome. We were offered a table to our liking since there were different sections, one was very intimate for couples, but we were a group of friends and preferred one of the bigger rooms with more people. The quality of the food was impeccable, the meat absolutely scrumptious, everything was up to snuff. Even though the place has been around for 10 years now, it’s still absolutely up-to-date and a secret treat. They work miracles with troufles. One of their specialties. They compted us with various dishes including free drinks after settling the bill. The fact that the waiter simply forgot my drink was not held up against him.
All these mostly Asian complaints I was reading about are completely out of whack. They should stay away and go Wok to Walk. This is a great current nonpretentious restaurant with incredible food at reasonable prices. Life is highly recommendable and should not be missed on any trip to Rome. Should you be there in the summer make sure you reserve one of the only seven outdoor tables across the street. After Covid the resto will reopen on...
