Unfortunately, this was the last and only cafe we visited before leaving Rome—sadly, it left us with a really bad impression of the city.

We were enjoying a nice walk in the park when it started to rain, so we went into the cafe. Some people were still sitting outside under umbrellas, but for some reason, the staff suddenly started shouting at them, demanding they leave and falsely claiming the cafe was closing.

After making our way through the chaos and finally getting a table inside, we started looking at the menu while waiting to use the toilet. But before we could even settle in, the staff came over and rudely pressured us to order drinks immediately, as if we were just there to hide from the rain without paying.

So, we ordered right away—and honestly, the coffee was no surprise: cheap and watery and definitely not worth the price.

When I asked for a receipt, they couldn’t even be bothered. No response, and handed the receipt to me as if I’m begging for money.

If you enjoy being yelled at, rushed to order, and paying the price of coffee for warm water, this is the perfect spot. Thanks for leaving such a special final impression of Rome!

Honestly, if this is considered normal, Italians should be ashamed — and if not, then something in this country is...

Popped in for a coffee because we thought it was a nice location - our mistake. Greeted with a grunt and a look as though we'd offered to poo on the counter. I went to the toilet while my partner ordered coffee. They asked him if he was staying to drink it, said yes, so when we recieved our coffees we went outside to take a seat. My partner goes to the toilet. The server then comes out, having said nothing as we were exiting the building, stares at me, goes back inside gets another server to stare and point and whisper and then the other one comes over and tells us I have to move because we had not 'paid for table service', bearing in mind we served ourselves pretty much. She then carried the drinks back to the counter, made me carry our 4 bags back inside by myself and we had to stand and drink our coffees at the counter in the way of anyone coming in. Absolutely embarrasing and to top it off the coffee wasn't great either... Might explain why most of the seats were empty... Would...

We were a group of nine people, ordered food and drinks. The servant has been rude from the very beginning, not motivated to even take our order at all. I ordered an iced shaken coffee, expecting it like it was shown on the picture. All I got was a small glass of coffee foam. Literally just foam. We also ordered 5 sandwiches. After more than twenty minutes we only got two of them. Waited another half an hour, reminded the waitress two times very friendly, and didn’t get them after another 10 minutes. We decided to get the check, waited another ten minutes for it and got ignored to the fullest. Such low quality service is impossible. Hideous. Never in my entire life have I experienced such an unpleasant customer service ever. Besides, the two Sandwiches that we did get were dry and looking like they were made in two seconds. For the enormously unbelievably long wait there is no way these sandwiches were looking like packed out of a grocery store....

We only got 4 drinks. And then added a few food items. The drinks were smaller but decent tasting, similar to our experience at other tourist attractions. The pastries could be improved as they seemed not as fresh as from a bakery, well obviously. Price was also ok not crazy high. Came with water too which was great (I had a false belief that one has to buy water?). Server was quite nice. They have a functional toilet so that’s why we came here. The outdoor space was pleasant, lots of birds chirping. It gets busy closer to lunch time. The little flies were relentless and tried to get on our drinks the whole time!

Away from the tourists this relaxing spot is great for a coffee and lunchtime snack. Cheaper than the Central Rome equivalents and much more relaxing. Next to the boating lake, so also good for a cold drink if you’ve done all of the rowing! Read other reviews regarding service, I agree it’s ‘relaxed’ and not particularly attentive, but we didn’t have to wait for anything. Fed family of four with drinks for under €40, only thing we thought was expensive were the cans of Coke Zero at €4.50 but we’ve paid that elsewhere in Rome.
