I was a bit reluctant to try this place given the bad reviews but I had walked a lot in the heat and needed refreshments.
I was not disappointed at all. The food was fresh and delicious, and the portion were big.
I had the insalata caprese and the olive bruschetta.
The food and drinks came very quickly, and the waitresses were really nice, yet the service is relaxed. I got the waitresses attention to get the menu and to order another drink. They did not bother me too much and maybe that is reason people are saying the service was slow. This gave it a chilled vibe but it is useful to be a little proactive, especially if you are in a hurry.
The grounds are cooling and beautiful and there are lots of little sparrows and other birds which was a lovely addition to the experience.
The toilet was clean.
Maybe it is a little expensive but you are paying for being in the park and not much...
Read moreDisgusting horrible nasty greedy people. Wife took unwell while in park and asked to use the bathroom. She was refused unless she bought something as "they have to pay for the water". Pathetic little Asian man hung over me to make sure i did make a purchase which I did as no man would leave his wife unwell in searing heat. I purchased the rat faced greedy little Asian a coffee as being Scottish we are raised and taught manners and compassion for our fellow man!! A sad horrible bunch of people who will be rewarded in time for the lack of compassion shown....what goes around comes around. DISGUSTING PEOPLE the type that the stunning city of Rome does not need. I hope the horrible wee man enjoyed his coffee and hope this review ultimately costs them revenue in the long run and maybe make them think before acting like dogs although dogs are kinder to humans than...
Read moreAm sorry to report that I removed a star - the management seems to have changed hands and the staff have become colder; the table service has got greedy - be careful as they don't really do aperitivo, instead you buy 2 drinks and then they charge you again for average food. They don't remember the dog either. Stand at the bar and grab a coffee and cornetto - save your aperitivo money for bars back in town.
We walk our dog Lulu in the park most days, and a highlight for us is to stop for a coffee or Aperitif here. The staff know our dog, and enthusiastically call her name when they see her! Hey, the prices for drinks may be a little touristic, but don't forget that you have lost yourself in Rome's most elegant park, so just relax and...
