Stumbled across this while walking in the old town, and wow what a find. The waiting staff are so friendly and kind fitting us in, and keeping us cool in the 36 degree warmth!
Now to the 🍕, 🍝 and 🍻
With a coeliac in the family we are never able to share meals - but tonight we could, and they were all delicious.
🍝
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carbonara with truffle €17 - the pasta was perfectly cooked, a creamy carbonara sauce without too much salty flavour from the cheese and delicious guancale. The generous truffle on top elevated this to something really special
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spaghetti with tomato and basil €12 - another delicious pasta dish enjoyed by my son. Rich tomato flavours with complimentary flavours from the basil
🍕
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pepperoni €12 with honey and chilli oil on gluten free base. Perfect match of cheese, subtle pepperoni (salame), honey and chilli flavours - not on your face hot. We really enjoyed the flavours here. The base is a thin style and has some charred flavours.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Margarita €12 well cooked without overpowering cheese. Thin and crunchy base was well received by my daughter.
🎂
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cannelloni €8.5 & Tiramisu €8.5 (Nutella and pistachio cream). It was hard to believe these desserts are gluten free.
🍻 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fullmetal alchemist €12 - floral cocktail done to perfection
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Virgin mojito €9 - refreshing and cool
🏁 You have to put this place on your list for everyone including those who aren't gluten intolerant. Great evening meal, great staff, and...
Read moreI recently discovered this little gem in the middle of Rome. It's a perfect spot for an aperitivo, dinner or after-dinner cocktails.
Great ambience, amazing cocktails and delicious food.
We started with a mixed selection of 'antipasti' because we really couldn't pick one or two since they all sounded delicious. Especially their specialty, 'le striscette di pizza".
However it is all about their PizzaPizzaPizza! They offer a wide range of pizza flavours and they are all to die for. I swear we really wanted to order one of each!
As what you expect from a proper roman pizza place, they sports a typical thin crust enriched by local ingredients. I particularly enjoyed their "Prosciutto" pizza. And let's not forget their 'dolci'. They do make one mean Tiramisù!
If you still have some doubts left about this little gem, let me tell you about their cocktails. They offer a wide variety of drinks and they truly know how to make them. It's really hard to find a good cocktail place (especially in the center of Rome) that actually knows what they are doing!
If you are looking for a nice place to enjoy a cocktail alongside some delicious local food Cimarra 4 is the...
Read moreThis place now sells my favourite pizza ever. THE ONE WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGE. OMFG IT WAS GOOD. AND GLUTEN FREE TOO. Before coming here, I hadn’t eaten at a restaurant since I was 8. THIS PLACE GAVE ME 0 REACTION.
We came in a group of 9. Booked the table that morning, and got a phone call from a member of staff. All of their staff speak English and Italian, and we had 0 translation issues. This place is a 4 min walk from the colosseum. And wasn’t uncomfortably busy (possibly because we were in such a big group). THE FOOD WAS GOOOOD. The only pizza I’d eaten before this was goodfellas pepperoni lol. There wasn’t too much dough, the tomato was perfect, AND THE SAUSAGE OMFGGGGGG.
We tried many gluten free places on our trip, and this was by far the best (beating mama eats).
We came in around march, I just keep thinking about the pizza. ALSO. First time trying tiramisu, and they let me put it in a container to take back to our hotel, it was very nice. But I don’t know if I am the biggest tiramisu fan, the wet sponge throws me off I think. BUT THE WHITE CREAM STUFF IS GOOD. I recommend this place to my...
