Al Braciere — Restaurant in Rome

UPDATE: we had to frequent this wonderful restaurant again! Al Braciere is our favorite restaurant in Roma! We had another delicious meal with amazing service! You must try Al Braciere when you visit Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori. We’ve tried many different restaurants and pizzerias all over Rome in the past 2-weeks and this place has the best pizza, food and service! My family and I were walking through the neighborhood by Piazza Navona when Mr. Aldi from Ristorante Al Braciere invited us to have dinner at his restaurant. Aldi was a wonderful host, very friendly and suggesting entrees. The food was excellent! We had gnocchi and carbonara, pizza, pasta & clams, wine and focaccia bread. Everything was amazing! The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, we felt like family and the service was outstanding! We would highly recommend eating at Ristorante Al Braciere when you are visiting Piazza Navona! It’s slightly off the beaten path but that makes it more enjoyable and quieter. Ask for Aldi, he will take excellent care of you and your family!! Buon Appetito! And...

Ended up at this place trying to get to Cantina e Cucina during a rain down pour whose line was wrapped around the building. One of the staff was standing in the middle of the road and kindly escorted us to the restaurant under his umbrella. It was meant for us to eat at Al Braciere! The pizza here was delicious! Thin crust, flavorful tomato sauce and fresh ingredients. We had the sausage pizza and it was so good I wanted to order it again. My party also had the grilled filet with mixed veggies. The steak was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake. The staff were attentive and accommodating! Our waiter was a little forgetful but was all over it once he was gently reminded. Definitely skip the tourist restaurant...

We love this place and this review is long overdue. We stayed at an airbnb across the street from the church (October 2019) and happened upon it looking for lunch. Another lunch and 4 nights of dinners, we were treated very well. Couldn't go far because my 82 yr old mother in law was with us, this was perfect! Memorable evenings, chatting up with a couple of priests who were sitting across from us in a torrential rainstorm, going inside for complimentary Limoncello ..... Food is absolutely fantastic. We were looking forward to going back to Rome in October but that doesn't appear likely .... I'm patient I will wait. And I'm sure the waiters will remember us!! Un ristorante meraviglioso.
