Gallo Ristorante di pesce — Restaurant in Rome

My partner booked this place as she saw the great reviews since it opened earlier on this year and we really enjoyed it. Firstly, the server was attentive, knowledgeable and super friendly, as was the owner (and head chef), who greeted us on arrival and came to speak to us after we had finished our meal.

Onto the food - the speciality bread was incredibly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, whilst both pasta dishes were super tasty. We shared a mixed grill with some veggies to finish and whilst delicious, we felt maybe it was slightly on the small side - that said, this was possibly because the cuts were premium ones (swordfish, squid and bream), so it’s not a complaint, just an FYI.

Overall, a hugely positive experience - we hope to return when back in Rome...

An experience of the highest value to be recommended to all!!! From the beginning to the end everything is taken care of in the smallest details without leaving anything to chance. From the kitchen, where the sea is the main character, you can feel the freshness of the product that are developed to create something really unique and remarkable. I couldn’t decide which dish was the best. The love and knowledge that the chef puts into every dish is tangible. The wine list is varied and well structured, with smaller and very interesting productions, and the service was impeccable, with attention to us that you do not always see in the restaurants. ¡¡¡EXCELENTE!!! Es la segunda vez que vamos a cenar en dos días. Ayer estuvimos y quedamos tan encantados con la atención el servicio y la comida exquisita, que no podíamos despedirnos de Roma, sin despedirnos del mejor restaurante de toda Roma. Hemos ido a muchos en estos días y como Gallo, ninguno. Claudia, la camarera que nos atendió con dulzura, profesionalidad y mucha amabilidad y Lorenzo el gran chef que crea arte en cada plato lleno de sabores exquisitos y productos de primera calidad y frescos, son un amor de personas, encantadoras, amables y grandes profesionales. Hoy celebraban 1 mes desde la apertura del restaurante, así nos comentaba Claudia con ilusión y hemos podido estar presentes :) Les deseamos toda la suerte y fuerza del mundo, aunque estoy segura de que no la van a necesitar, pues ellos irradian éxito con su buen hacer.

El chef, Lorenzo, ha salido a visitar a los comensales tras la preparación de los platos y le hemos pedido si podíamos hacernos una foto con ellos y como veis sin dudarlo y con una gran sonrisa han aceptado y les he preguntado sus nombres para saber como se llaman estos encantos de humanos.

Si visitáis Roma o vivís en ella, tenéis que ir a probar las delicias que ofrecen en su carta y os quedaréis maravillados con las personas tan bonitas como son Claudia y Lorenzo.

Por cierto, tienen una crema catalana brutal, deliciosa. Os lo dice una catalana ;)
