Materia Cafe — Restaurant in Rome

Ι got scammed. Ι specifically asked the blonde waitress if there is a socket for electricity for my laptop, as i wanted to work and i was caring a lot of baguages waiting for my airport. She said that i can work there if i order a meal because it was meal time and i go to specific big table with other people. I asked her where are the sockets and i agreed so i ordered some meal. However I explained that none of the sockets worked or fitted a normal laptop socket. She called the owner and owner searched for sockets or other places and she didnt find. So she told me that i can go buy a specific socket that fits their sockets, or charge somewhere else , while sitting on the big table but not sit on another table. I said sure please find another place to charge and i can wait. She didnt find, so i was going to leave. But they told me i should pay the order. While the waitress was bringing the order i explain that weight before you bring it so we first find the charger as we agreed. I had to take all my baggage fight with the owner and pay the vey small meal for nothing. So cheap and scammy, wannabe hipsters. The waiter didnt help. The boss called me crazy and that she will call the police and i said sure go ahead. She said this is a restaurant not a coworking space, i said that they provide theor infrastructure and everyone goes there to work, so i want to wotk here and buy a dinner for electricity as i agreed with her employee. I didnt take what we agreed i paid and i was called crazy. The short boss was rude and acting like she was on some drug from before we fight. After that she got even more crazy. I hope you...

We arrived at 8:45am bc the hours on google said they opened at 8:00am. However, they actually open at 9:00am (I requested to change the hour on google). Ok, no problem. We decided to go for a walk in the park across the street. We came back around 9:05, and one of the owners said something from behind an umbrella she was setting up. Apparently she said they weren’t open yet. That was rude and she could have came to up directly and said they would open soon. Around 9:10 or so, they officially opened, but things were very unorganized. We came for breakfast, but we’re told the kitchen was closed and that it would be open in 15-20 minutes. We settled for a chocolate croissant and regular croissant, and coffee. They’re items were delicious and honestly the best pastry we’ve had in Italy so far. The design style of the cafe is also very well done, and quite beautiful. I would give this place 5 starts but the customer service was very cold, and it felt very unorganized and chaotic. Estaba viajando por Roma, buscando en internet encontré en un blog que Materia Café es un lugar bueno para teletrabajar y comer rico. La verdad todo pudo haber sido perfecto, hasta ciertos puntos de mejora. Pero igual les dejo una calificación alta. Creo que son solo puntos de mejora.

Al llegar estaba bastante lleno, y entendible es lindo, bueno y excelente precios. Sin embargo tome la mesa disponible, sin saber que tenía que posicionarme en la mesa de coworking si iba a trabajar. Realmente iba con la perspectiva de comer y tomarme un café.

Las dos chicas de la barra un amor y con linda disposición. Pero la chica que llegó a anunciar que tenía que moverme a la mesa de coworking por trabajar con laptop, levemente se molestó. Porque le dije que porque me tenían que mover de la mesa, ya después de haber ordenado una Tostada de Aguacate con Pollo, 2 Cafés Latte y 1 Limonada. Ya estaba sentado listo para comer. Obvio no me quería moverme con laptop conectada, mis artículos de trabajo, y además la comida y las bebidas.

El punto de mejora, puede ser: al llegar, preguntar: vas a trabajar con tu laptop o no? E indicar al cliente moverse. Uno solo llega al mostrador, pide y se tiene que ubicar. No me guiaron al llegar. Esto hubiera mejorado mi experiencia, entiendo que agarré una mesa de 3 o 4 personas. Pero era la mesa disponible sin indicarme esto. En resumen, indicar al llegar puede mejorar la experiencia del usuario e evitar estrés. Además poco balance porque otras personas en laptop no las movieron a la mesa de coworking. Pero entiendo que Talvez yo era el único caso por haber tomado la mesa de 4. Por otro lado, no fue que me pedí un café y me quedé trabajando sin consumir bloqueando la mesa y el consumo a otro clientes.

Luego enviaron a otra persona, sin dejarme terminar mi limonada por otro intento de moverme. Mientras ya estaba por ordenar más consumo para mi almuerzo. Sin embargo ya estaba tenso el ambiente, que decidí no optar por consumir mi almuerzo. Ya los 2 café latte, la limonada y el tostada de aguacate con pollo, sumaron €20, creo que la cuenta con el almuerzo y bebida hubiera cerrado tal vez €45/€50.

Altas expectativas por este blog donde recomiendan el café para trabajar. Creo que si van, porque si es lindo y rico. Pregunten esto de las mesas y que no intenten mover con tu comida y bebidas en la mesa y tus accesorios de trabajo. Es incómodo obvio. Penalizan e indisponen a clientes a seguir consumiendo.

En general bien, pero como nadie me guió antes al entrar es difícil adivinar las reglas del café. Y creo que tampoco fue que me quede 3 horas, y me tome un solo café. Dure mucho 40min y consumo varias cosas con posibilidad de almuerzo, lo cual me indispuse por tanta tensión.

Si la dueña fue la primera en ir a decirme que me moviera de mesa, le recomiendo un curso de diseño de experiencia o algo así, para mejorar estos puntos de dolor.
