Caffè Italia — Restaurant in Rome

We went there for a late breakfast and it was fine until we went to pay. There was 3 of us and 2 of us got served and told to sit down, one other took a while to get served and then paid before sitting down. When the two that didn’t pay went to pay before leaving we got charged for my friend that had already paid. When we brought this to their attention the lady at the counter did not remember my friend paying and despite us showing the bank transaction they did not believe us. Me and my son stayed in Rome for 7 nights at the domus Sessoriana Hotel, the hotel its self was good, we knew when we booked that it was A 3* hotel. The service was OK and the beds were comfortable but amenities were not great. Having this amazing Cafe opposite was just brilliant. Nothing was too much for them. Amazing cornettos - we loved the cornetto al cioccolato (Italian croissant filled with nutella) and cornetto al pistaccio (filled with pistachio flavoured white chocolate cream). Amazing filings. Fast service and friendly staff. Great selection of pastries and sandwiches. They also do gelato and hot food. We went for breakfast and also visited late around midnight for a snack.
