We were happily welcomed there, until they found out we only want to drink some coffe and maybe eat something small like bruschete. The waiter became rude by almost throwing the plates even if only one of us ordered a bruschete and adding the mean comment "maybe you want to share" after we said we don't need the plates. He also asked if we want some water and we said we wanted the sparkling one. The bruschete came first, even before the 3 coffees and also before the water, that came normal, and a sprite. I understood that bruschete in Rome means only one, even if in other parts of Italy, they serve 3 or 4 small bruschete. There was no sign that said how much i should order (the minimum amount) or what i should order. I asked for something like panini, because it was still early noon, came right after the visit to St. Peter's Bassilica, and the answer was "We have burgers, because we are a restaurant". This is on the day of 15 Aug, on St. Mary day, so we didn't have a lot of options. This was sincerely the worst experience we had with a restaurant in Rome. If you have the time to eat more and not just brunch, maybe it could be a good choice. The 5 star rating for the food was just for that one bruschete we ordered and...
Read moreFood was nothing special. They charge 1.5€ for person for "taxa de persona" and they do not inform! They just put in very small letters in the menu! Not even with glasses we could read. That is not informing. Is a scam like people on the streets trying to charge you money for everything. So I ask the waiter what was that and she told me the money is for the boss! What kind of service is like that? The money is for the boss? She told me that, yeah! Then she call the boss, an arrogant kid who said that i have to ask when i arrived the restaurant! I thought they have to inform me when i arrived! After saying i dont pay he said that he is the one who decided what i pay! Remember big restaurant boss, im a guest, not a waiter! In my account who decides the money that leave from there is me! Very bad! Learn how to be a boss and learn to respect the guests. Also when the big kid boss was asking what we want to order he was speaking with other persons, not paying attention. If you want tips you have to deserve it. Salut...
Read moreInitially we were quite happy with the place. We were served quickly and had a nice atmospheric spot. But, my girlfriend barely swallowed her last bite of her starter and her plate was still there when the main course was put on the table. There was no response when I mentioned it was a bit soon.
The pasta was fine (carbonara and l'arrabiata) but we felt pressured to finish our dishes and our bottle of wine. While we were drinking our wine, we were asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee for four times. We were actually planning on having a desert but we felt so rushed and we ate so fast that we required some more time. Then a waiter stated that they needed our table (even though there was more than enough room), which is a completely rude comment to any guest. It seemed like they were more patient with Italian guests than with any other guests.
All in all, we dit not have a good experience for dinner, especially not considering the...
