Service was very good. The food is also very good, homecooking style. I had the coda a la vaccinara , with meat that was falling of fteh bone, as it should, and a sauce that was very tomato based (very good but perhaps could have used a but of wine or some other ingredient to enhance). My wife thoroughly enjoyed her saltimboca a la romana. We accompanied with two contorni (teh fried potatoes were so good!). We started with freshly fried fritti (one cod and one zucchini flower) and although slightly heavy on the amount of dough, the dough itself was light; and jsut made, served hot from the oil, was spectacular. The tiramisu for dessert was just ok. House wine was decent (they do have a wine list). The only issue we had is that the acoustics in the back room i s bad and the table next door was exceptionally loud (no, not american tourists, but not locals either). I will definitely come back to try other dishes. Make sure you make a...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant we tried on our recent trip to Rome, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations despite the glowing reviews. At first, I thought it might just be the excessive amount of grated cheese the chef had added atop our dishes, but the sauce and pasta were also too salty alone. The rest of our group had the ragu, vaccinara, and bistecca, which were decent, but nothing exceptional. The service left much to be desired, with the waiter being inattentive and difficult to get a hold of. While the restaurant’s aesthetic was charming, it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend it and won’t...
Read moreWelcome, good Roman cuisine and excellent advice! almost by chance we found this incredible place, in fact a wine shop with cuisine but with excellent local proposals. We got advice from the owner who really gave us excellent advice and we spent a fantastic evening with friends. Good wine list and respectable dishes. Even at the expense of the location, this place can give particularly interesting culinary experiences. Accompanied by a good Prosecco di Valdobbiadene we had a dinner based on Parmigiano Reggiano raw ham as an appetizer, followed by fried cod while the main course proposed was among the grilled calamari with fried potatoes a plate of pasta with cheese and pepper and a new cod with cherry tomatoes and olives. ...
