Il Ristorante di Porta Pia — Restaurant in Rome

During our trip in Roma, we ate twice at this restaurant and never were disappointed. First time, we chose meat. The waiter took the time to explain us the origin of the beef. He didn't lie about the quality, the taste was incredible! Second time, we chose seafood (octopus & seafood risotto). Same experience, first quality food and awesome dishes. Each time, the waiter advised us for wine and it was divine. Last but not least, the cocktails were perfection. This restaurant has a barman that really knows his job. He asks what you like and make you a cocktail "à la carte". And even more amazing, he remembered our likes 2 days later and suggested cocktails that met our needs completely. By 2 picky Parisians food lovers...

This is the first restaurant we visited in Rome. Enzo welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. The food was marvelous. We had the ribeye steak with a side of tartufo fettuccine and the veal saltimbocca. Our friends had the filet and the pasta with meatballs. Excellent choices. All around the staff were wonderful, from the manager, Maria, and the other servers Mimo & Aidai. My wife and I returned to enjoy our last meal in 🇮🇹 before heading home. I definitely recommend the sliced prosciutto plate. Thank you for making our visit memorable. We will certainly visit again when we return to Rome!

We had spent a few days in Rome and looking for something special on our last night beyond pasta and pizza. The decor is better than most restaurants, more space, inside and alfresco options. The food options were outstanding including fresh seafood on display. My partner chose monk first and I selected steak with cognac, cream and green peppercorn sauce. The seafood was fresh and the you could cut the beef with a feather. We paired the meal with a bottle of montepulciano. The service was amazing, Fabio was so helpful and friendly.
