I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food is equal to anything else you'll get in the city, and in most cases better. The staff are very friendly, with a wicked sense of humour. They'll steer you through the etiquette of Italian dining, and correct you if you choose dishes that aren't particularly good together. On our second visit, not only did we have a great Pizza, we were also treated to a couple of free antipasta dishes to sample, and then a liquer at the end of our meal, all on the house. The house wine is a very good local red, and great value for money at €8 a Bottle. Whilst last night, we had a superb Bottle of Montepulicano d'Abruzzo for just €15!!!
With regards to the rude staff mentioned in other reviews; Be aware, that there is a trattoria of the same name virtually next door. The one you want is on the corner of...

Having walked, explored and seen so much of the city, we felt ever drawn back to this restaurant. It became a perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day. Our lodging being around the corner, the food became a warm and delicious “welcome home”.
Seeing the smile grow across the owner’s face as we rounded the corner, or walked through the door was as good as a warm embrace or hug from an old friend.
Reminiscent of classic realist Italian films, the cadre of local diners chattering, and old friends discussing or debating various topics over dinner, helped create the illusion of losing oneself to the alluring possibility of being yourself,...
Read moreThis is a traditional family run restaurant with Italians actually cooking the meals. It is a casual restaurant with good food and low prices. The service can be sporadic because the owner and his family also wait the tables, but to me that is part of the charm. If you want fine dining this is not your place, if you want to feel like you are eating at an Italian family's house, this is your place. If you are on a tight timeline this is not your place. If you want to relax and sip affordable wine and eat good food this is the place. I try to stop here every time I pass through Rome. We typically have an after dinner drink to continue...
