If you find yourself wandering the streets of Rome with a craving for authentic Italian gelato, look no further than Gelateria La Romana dal 1947. Nestled in the heart of the city, this beloved gelateria has been serving up artisanal delights for decades, drawing both locals and tourists alike. And yes, the lines can be long—especially on warm evenings—but trust me, the wait is well worth it. From the first bite, it’s clear that La Romana takes its craft seriously. Their gelato is rich, creamy, and bursting with natural flavors, made from high-quality ingredients without artificial additives. One of the highlights is their signature Crema dal 1947, a velvety custard-based gelato that pays homage to their original recipe. Other must-try flavors include Croccante all’Amarena, a delightful mix of crunchy almond and sour cherry, Pesto di Pistacchio, an intense pistachio experience, and the classic Stracciatella Grand Cru, featuring delicate chocolate shavings that melt in your mouth. The shop’s atmosphere is cozy, but seating is limited—only a few stools inside—so be prepared to enjoy your treat while strolling through Rome’s charming streets. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring that despite the queue, the service moves quickly. Whether you're a gelato connoisseur or simply looking for a sweet escape from the Roman heat, Gelateria La Romana dal 1947 is an unmissable stop. Just be ready to make some tough decisions—because once you see their flavor selection, you’ll want to try them all!

A heavenly gelato experience! From the moment I stepped into La Romana Gelato in Rome, I knew I was in for an extraordinary treat. The ambiance of the shop is warm and inviting, making me feel like a valued guest in an Italian home. The variety of flavors on display is a feast for the eyes, each more tantalizing than the last. I was particularly impressed by the unique options that blend traditional Italian flavors with innovative twists. The gelato itself is a masterpiece of texture and taste – creamy, rich, and bursting with authentic, natural flavors. It’s evident that La Romana uses only the finest, freshest ingredients. What truly sets La Romana apart is the exceptional service. The staff is not only friendly but also passionate about their craft. They are more than happy to let you sample flavors, making the experience even more delightful. And let’s not forget about the presentation – each serving is crafted with care, making it as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to eat. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the gelato. In conclusion, La Romana Gelato isn’t just a gelateria; it’s a culinary experience that tantalizes all the senses. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to indulge in the best gelato Rome has to offer. I can’t wait to return and try even more flavors!

Love at first smile! We wanted (me and my father) to get something sweet and saw this store next to us, checked on its rating and decided to get it from here. From the first step I got mad by how beautifully I felt! There was a guy, that I unfortunately didn't get the name of, with the best, friendliest smile I have ever seen on a working person! I might be overreacting but the warmth I felt was amazing! He took our orders with pleasure and while making them he was asking us more specific questions to make the best crepes! Didn't seem to get bored or exhausted or any bad vibe, just a chill and friendly guy that really warms the place! There as also a girl whose I also didn't get the name of with black hair and piercings and even though we didn't have any contact with her she had something about her presence that felt right and good. My father ordered a simple crepe with chocolate and I got the one with the fruits that lays on the bottom of the menu, the guy asked me about gelato flavour but I was so cosy with the whole atmosphere that I didn't notice there was gelato included! I asked him to put his favourite flavour and kept going. The crepes were cheap (10€ in total) but SOOOO value for money! Beautiful taste that I couldn't stop dancing while eating! Both mine and of course some of my dad's. I don't know if I am overreacting but the whole experience just felt right!...
