Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, didn't look at the reviews and didn't regret it. It was lunch time. The waiters were very busy and did an excellent job with orders. The cooks did not disappoint, we received our orders in 15 minutes. Very pleasant atmosphere. This is a family restaurant and the owners managed to give all visitors time and attention, it was very pleasant. Lots of tables inside and outside. The interior shows that this place was visited by many famous people. They work during the day until 15:00, so it's better to come at 13:00-13:30. Portions are the right size. I liked the table setting and textile napkins, not cheap paper ones. We were in April and it was Artichoke Month. Personally, I ordered Strozzapreti alla Carbonara con i Carciofi. The paste turned out to be hard, I did not expect, but not catastrophically. Clean toilet, with soap and automatic textile towel. Recommend to visit this restaurant

Had lunch with a local tour guide before we started our arranged Vatican tour. It was recommended by her for local and decent value. Was able to get a small table outside even though it was quite busy. I wanted to try a couple new things so ordered the Suppli and Flore di Zucchi Fritto for an appetizer. They were both decent, although not memorable. As it was mushroom season I went with mushroom pizza for main as I couldn't decide on a pasta. The pizza was tasty although not a lot of mushrooms on it. I did eat it the Italian way with a knife and fork. Overall the food was fine, although I cannot say I was overly impressed. The service started off decent, partly as my tour guide knew some of the staff. But it declined as time went on with the waiter obviously overwhelmed and forgot several times our order, particularly coffee afterwards. I had the advantage of a local to help with ordering and communication and even then I can only rate service as average, so I'm not sure how it would be for a tourist.

It’s a cozy family restaurant leaded by mom, son and daughter. It’s quite busy and overwhelmed place. We visited it by recommendation of the owner of the nearest shop. The staff was running around like a bees in a hive cause it was many people that time. But we got a table for two immediately when we came. It was not a best place but it was only one option at that moment. The staff was friendly but quite busy and was needed for some reminders. There are the waiters for different ages, even some old ones. They work very hard and accurate. The place is clean and light. Can be some queue to the WC. Be careful when you are walking in the restaurant not to be downed by waiter. The food was good and delicious. We were waiting for our dishes for about 20 minutes. Lasagna was good, not the best that I tried. It calls in menu Pasta dello Chef. Reach choice of different cakes, wines etc.

Awful tourist trap. Extra charges, hidden fees - rewd till the end! The food was ok (except for scamorza cheese which is not worth it) the service was very pushy. Embarrassment comes when you get the bill. For family of 3 initially we were offered to pay 6 eur for bread. The menu says "1 eur per person". This was corrected only when we asked. The bread itself is not tasty and dry, it should not be extra. We have ordered scamorza cheese with mushrooms and prosciutto. There was no prosciutto. When we have asked about it, tjr waiter said "oh i remember, 2 pieces of prosciutto" and brought 2 slices of ham on the plate. Since it wad too late (wr have finished our dinner by then) he offered one euro discount. The cherry on the top - 15% service fee. It's written at the end of the menu, most of the clients would not go that far. Pure scam, first time we saw service fee in Rome.

Please not they charge you 15% for the service without a notification Bread was dry yet editable and they charge you per person on it also without telling you Water is also an exstra charge The waiter who seated us was relatively rude but the one who served us was an older and quite polite waiter The toppings on the pizzas were not evenly distributed and some of the edges were burnt, but overall the pizzas were quite nice The knives were a little worn so it was very difficult to cut the pizzas Attached is a photo of the capacitor for understanding what we ordered and costs While we were waiting for our food we decided to read some of the recent reviews and started to get really stressed We were very worried that we would leave with a bad experience All in all, we had a fine experience

5+ stars for the atmosphere. Decided to do like the Romans and I had a late dinner (@10:30pm). Very surprised to see that this place was poppin! Welcomed and served by Raggio, who was extremely polite, spoke excellent English, and offered great recommendations. I’m a bit pasta’d out so decided to try the Danish steak & potatoes and ……. It was SO good! I’m not even a huge steak guy but this was yummy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was bathed in butter but I decided I didn’t want to know 🤣 The house wine was a Sangiovese rosso. This 6 euro glass was as good as any red I’ve had. I highly recommend this place. PS I did eventually ask how they prepared the steak and I’m delighted to say it’s just juicy steak, cooked to perfection in their brick oven!
