A truly special place in Rome. You can get a decent meal almost anywhere in this city, but Makasar is one of kind. Their menu is unique (not the typical 5 dishes of pasta you see at every restaurant in Rome), the food is fresh and light, and the owners Marco and Federica are genuinely amazing people committed to making your experience at Makasar an excellent one. Read moreDate: Dec. 14, 2024 Bf and I wanted to sit on a table. Waitress told us no. The table is for 4 people. She wanted us to sit at the bar. There was no line of people whatsoever. I can understand IF there was a party of 4 people waiting but there were none. We walked out. What a shame because I really wanted to drink there. We took our business elsewhere.
