Marcantonia in Rome offers a truly delightful Italian dining experience. Located on a charming Roman street very near Vatican city, we had the pleasure of dining outside, taking in the local atmosphere as we enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent, with each dish reflecting authentic Italian flavors and fresh ingredients. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the flavorful seafood, everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Edwin, in particular, stood out with his warm and friendly approach, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout our visit. If you’re in Rome and looking for a spot with great food and friendly service, Marcantonia is a wonderful choice. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy a meal, and feel like you’re part of the family.

For some reason, my family and I loved this place so much that we went back three times. People say this place is a tourist trap but that's really up to the beholder. The place suffers from the usual cons, such as small portions, inflated prices, non-complimentary water, generic menu, extremely thin crusted pizza, but these problems are usually unanimous across the board no matter where you go around Rome. I can attest so much to their potatoes though, I ordered them twice and loved them both times! We ate a little late in the night when we first rolled by this place, so the bread was a little dry, but when we came back the next day for lunch, it was like fresh. The service was great all three times we went back here, I would definitely go back again.

Absolutely loved the food, to be honest after spending a month in Milan and not being able to find a good restaurant, I was sceptic about eating Italian food, everyone is usually raving about the specialties but, for me Italian food is just ok. However coming to Rome and stepping into this place, with a bit of hesitancy we were recommended some dishes by a nice Polish man, we were amazed. The prostions were nice, the taste amazing, at last, some Italian food I can describe as good. Risotto with seafood was brilliant, spaghetti Bolognese were very tasty. We have returned to this place second time, and we will be coming back.

4 of us went to this place last night. One meal arrived, then another 2, & one of those being incorrect, then mine, which also arrived incorrect. The marinara pizza was supposed to have prosciutto on it, which it did not. Pretty good bet, they just took the marinara pizza back & slapped some prosciutto on it as the prosciutto was not even warm or crispy. I ordered my pizza without cheese (allergy). They returned the pizza with cheese & then brought me this……nothing like scrimping on the topping, especially given they didn’t have to add cheese. Had to ask 3 different restaurant staff for our bill. Do not recommend.

The service was great, we had a late lunch after visiting the Vatican and they sat us down in a nice table infront of the AC (a godsend considering the 37°C sunny day outside). The restaurant was cute and well priced. We ordered pizzas and they were quite good. One of the pizzas we ordered with a few changes and it was perfect. The only thing I personally didn't love was that the Capricciosa pizza came with two pieces of prosciutto and the artichoke came with some of the inedible pieces. Aside form that, the service, price, atmosphere, and food quality were all great.

Taken and persuaded from the street. I hate this. We were sol the idea that they have wooden fire oven (they lied.it was a gas one) waited for 45 min for a pizza when it was not that busy. In fact the pizzas were waiting to be taken but the waiters were just sitting outside. I finally got my half cold prosciutto e funghi pizza but with prosciutto crudo. I asked the waiter to swap with a cotto as i did not mention crudo at any point. They swapped it and now the pizza was stone cold. The waiter politely offered to redo the whole shabang and it was decent
