The Museo Leonardo Da Vinci Experience is a marvelous tribute to one of the greatest geniuses in history. The museum showcases Da Vinci's astounding inventions, artwork, and scientific concepts in an interactive and captivating way. What stood out during my visit was the friendliness of the staff, who were more than willing to provide assistance and answer any questions. Additionally, the presence of a clean and well-maintained restroom within the museum premises was a pleasant convenience. One aspect that impressed me was the reasonable and somewhat affordable entrance fee. It made the museum accessible to a wider range of visitors, which is commendable. As you wander through the museum, you'll be awestruck by the detailed replicas of Da Vinci's machines, providing a glimpse into his innovative mind. The interactive displays and hands-on activities allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of this visionary artist and inventor. The museum offers a fantastic blend of education and entertainment, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. Whether you're an art enthusiast or a science lover, the Museo Leonardo Da Vinci Experience offers something fascinating for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this museum for a unique and inspiring experience that celebrates the brilliance of Leonardo Da Vinci and leaves you in awe of his remarkable legacy.

It's one thing to read or learn about Da Vinci, but to actually see the machines replicated in person is incredible. I went to the museum in Florence and the one in Rome, and if you have the option I would definitely pick the one in Rome! It's far less crowded (the Florence museum had dozens and dozens of kids running wild), has more things to see, and the audio guide is much better (and more accurate--there were a few incorrect details on the Florence audio guide). I would strongly recommend this to anyone -- the museum is right between the Vatican and Castel San'Angelo, so you can stop by for 30 minutes. I would recommend 2 hours, or 3 if you really want to study the artwork (replicas). Valeria was working the day we went and went above and beyond, not only being helpful with our museum experience and questions on Da Vinci, but answering lots of our other questions about Rome. I especially love the art exhibits, which was more extensive than in Florence, and how it takes you through Da Vinci's artwork chronologically and brings out fascinating connections. The gift shop is also amazing, and anyone can access it without even going through the museum. I purchased a couple of books that turned out to be great reads and not available on amazon.

The Leonardo da Vinci Experience is a lovely way to spend around 1 hour if you find yourself near Vatican City. With an audio guide in hand, the da Vinci lover is taken through a tour of his most famous inventions and paintings, such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. This is a highly individual experience but is also ideal for families with kids who will be drawn to touch and operate the collection of machines — including the bicycle, the self-propelled cart and various war artillery. The nearly identical reproductions of art and the accompanying audio explanations will leave the museum-goer with a newfound breadth of knowledge and appreciation for one of history’s most celebrated Renaissance men. There is even the Instagram-worthy The Mirror Room, an eight-sided chamber of mirrors that da Vinci created because he considered the mirror as “the master of all painters.” Additionally, the staff was very friendly, helpful and they speak multiple languages. This small museum is a definite must for tourists and residents alike.

the museum is small, but it's packed with replicas of Da Vinci's famous paintings and his many inventions, most of which visitors can touch and experience firsthand. however, buying tickets in advance (as we did) does not provide you with a time slot, so it might very well happen that you get to the museum and are told you have to wait for at least an hour to enter because it's so full already. our audio guides didn't work and we didn't receive a replacement, but the signs are in multiple languages and provide detailed information. be advised that it can get very full, loud and crowded at times. most of the time, we had to wait for a massive group of raunchy teenagers to move on to the next room so we could actually look at the exhibits we had come for. I wish they would improve their coordination of visitors by requiring the choice of time slots at the point of purchase.
