Kerala Restaurant - Indian(south) Cuisine — Restaurant in Rome

This was the BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAD IN ROME ! I must say that the food was super delicious and its the only authentic Kerala cuisine not only in Rome but the best i have ever had in Italy ! Now more important than food sometimes i feel are the people who prepare it and serve it to you. So here you go, the chef is just an amazing person and you can smell that in the flavors, the 4 owners are a gem of a human and also one of the owners wife works there and makes it feel like you are at home. The server Aby is a delight to have at this restaurant that makes one feel like family and in the true sense all the people who work at this place are family and that is what makes this place the top of my list for lunch and dinner. I spend 14 days in Rome and ate lunch and dinner with them for 8 days, yes thats how much i valued the food and the people here at Pizzeria Ristorante kerala. I had the pleasure of dining at this authentic Kerala restaurant during our recent trip to Rome, and it was a culinary journey like no other. It was the best thing to happen during our trip. Authentic homemade Kerala food. A place that we highly recommend and would like to go back again.

The menu was a treasure trove of South Indian delights, offering a wide array of traditional dishes. The combination of flavors and textures in each dish was simply exquisite, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite.

First day, I had a fish curry meals. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the perfectly cooked Malabar Fish Curry. The fish was tender, and the curry had a perfect balance of spices that left a lingering, delightful aftertaste.

Next day I had Appam and Egg Curry. The appam was soft and pillowy, a perfect complement to the curry.

Great restaurant to try some items from Kerala cuisine. We landed in Rome for our vacation a few days ago and went here directly from airport. We tried a hot and spicy beef biriyani which was great! The owner and other staff were extremely humble and homely. They even gave us a few free samples of their delicious rum plum cake and red grape wine. It was heavenly! We decided to return next day for a hot lunch and tried their fish curry meals and vegetarian meals. Everything was great. They were having a Christmas special lunch for next three days so we returned the next day too! Kappa biriyani, Fish molly, beef fry, duck mappas,beef roast, beef stew, angamaly mango curry, fish fry, cutlets, puffs, pazham pori. We ate everything! And left no crumbs! Returned next day as well and even more satisfied! Regan chettan felt like a brother back home and served us with so much love.
