McDonald’s — Restaurant in Rome

NOT SAFE! BE AWARE OF THIEFS! THIS EXPERIENCE HAPPENED ON THE 2nd Floor!

I don’t usually leave a review but this is one of the most traumatic experience in my life. My dad was about to take the meal on the counter as our number was called. He then asked me, my sister and her husband to look out for his bag. He placed the bag on the left side of me on the table and we look out for his bag. When he went to take the food suddenly a man approached us on our right side and started to ask us in arabic language. As we sure don’t know how to speak arabic we told him that we don’t understand but he did not go away and keep speaking to us. My sister’s husband felt suspicious because usually if we said we don’t understand the person would just go away and ask others. He quickly look to the left side and saw that the bag is gone. I quickly ran downstairs and I got suspicious too because the person talking to us started running downstairs when I ran surpassing them knowing a third person is the one who stole as I did not see the person talking to us grabbing the bag. I ran fastly until I saw the person stealing the bag running right outside mcdonalds and shout loudly “HE STOLE THE BAG!.” The thief, being scared as people are looking at him, threw the bag to the street. I retrieve the bag and thankfully my dad doesn’t lose anything. I reported to the security that saw me running and he did not help, he cannot even speak english and directed me to the manager. The manager said that it is a hotspot for thief and we ask whether we can just submit the security footage to the police and he said he cannot do anything.

An advice, MCDONALDS please have better security. After this incident I came back to 2nd floor to eat and realize that there are a lot of suspicious people that doesn’t even purchase any food and just keep looking at other people. Mcdonalds should just check ppl who didn’t eat and not let them in! Especially why are they looking at people passing by one by one isn’t that suspicious!!!!

This McDonald's was an eye opener!!!!! It gave us clear and definite confirmation that the us has the bastardized version of McDonald's. It is a national consensus that this is not the highest form of dining by any stretch. There are those that would choose to starve than to consume the questionable menu offered stateside. Behold! This McDonald's was a pleasant surprise!!!! Just seeing the pastries and Gelatos offered was a pure culture shock. Very much like a novice visitor upon stepping into the TARDIS for the very first time, it was an unsuspecting, but pleasant, attack on the senses! There was a selection of teas that was nice to see. This visit was before my embracing coffee so I did not pay attention to it. But, there was the additional allure to discovering the cafeteria. You had to walk a stone corridor and ascend some stairs. I thought I was going to a club!

Once you get to the cafeteria, it opens to a spacious dining hall. The kiosks were available in English and ordering was far more orderly. I got a salad and my daughter got a burger. The salad as better than any whole foods photo op. After having eaten a higher standard of quality food during our visit, my body was elated.

But.... I took a bite of my daughter's burger. I don't know what was in that burger but it reverted all of the wholesomeness that I had enjoyed up to that moment. It prepared me for the descent return to American food standards.

In spite of the wake-up call, this is a beautiful McDonald's whereas those two words are rarely combined. I hope to return for another visit while definitely abstaining all the...

OMG what a disappointment.

Lovely decoration, manky small toilets for such a big store. If there is a fire declared I doubt many people would survive.

Sunday 3rd of April, 6.30 pm, Guilia serving. Forza customer service in McDonall's!!!

I was patiently waiting for my number to come up in the screen. Mega-busy. Talk about working under pressure. This guys cannot handle stress.

I ordered 4 meals and only got right the happy meal. Soggy fries and I asked to replace. I got soggy again after being told it was my fault for not being there when my number was shout out.

I came back to request a replacement for a doble bacon burguer no cheese or any dressing however I got all of it. Second time around I got a replacement with sauce. Fine.

Guilia asked me to show my ticket to demonstrate I ordered " no cheese". All annoyed she takes my ticket and squashed it and throw it in the bin 🤔

When I asked for it back, she goes bananas.

Back with the burguer to my daughter, I realised that she didn't give me the two sweet and sour extra we ordered, this time she did not argued that much, thank god!

I also ordered a large capuchino I never got either. No soul to come back and argue with Giulia about it.

What a disaster. The manager obviously doesn't care about all this. I have worked for the company myself in the past and never argued with any customer over fries or anything. I believe is McDonall's policy to please their customers over all and that has not changed.

This store is going to make the money regardless although do not customise your orders or you will get punished.
