Mike's Restaurant — Restaurant in Rome

I am usually reluctant to post negative reviews, but my recent experience at this place has left me with no other option.

Despite the charming ambiance and the great views, my dining experience was deeply disappointing. The dish I ordered, carbonara pasta, was woefully undercooked. Each bite was a struggle, making it evident that the dish was not prepared with the appropriate care or attention. I could not finish it.

Worse still was the response when I brought this issue to the attention of the staff. The waiter simply dismissed my concerns, stating that the pasta was supposed to be that way. As someone who appreciates and understands good food, I found this response to be not only inaccurate but also disrespectful.

Even more distressing was the aftermath of the meal. I suffered from stomach pain later that day, undoubtedly due to the undercooked pasta I consumed.

I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but the lack of proper customer service and the dismissive attitude towards a genuine complaint is inexcusable. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. You can expect that a restaurant in Rome, at the very least, can cook pasta properly and value the feedback of...

Quiet, classy, modern, sleek local restaurant, with exquisite menu and drinks. Every single thing of 8 we ordered was practically the best we've ever had: Octopus, Entrecote, Gazpacho  Campari cocktail, Tiramisù etc. The view is everything a floor-to-ceiling window could give, including the dynamic intersection traffic. Sono di Roma. Ho visto nascere questo bar/ristorante all'interno della Coin. Più spesso mi è capitato, dopo un giro alla Coin, di fermarmi per un aperitivo o un cappuccino prima di andare via. Rispetto all'inizio in cui tutto era perfetto, varietà di scelta anche al bancone, aperitivi ricchi di varie novità stuzzicanti da provare, ora da circa un anno ho notato un graduale abbassamento del livello. Pochissimo personale, se ci si va per un aperitivo al massimo portano le patatine, se alle 18 fa freddo e desidera un cappuccino con una fetta di torta, o dei biscotti, si scopre che tutto è finito. Il banco spoglio. Già troppo trovare due camerieri. Quindi parlo da chi ha potuto vedere lo sfarzo iniziale, il personale presente, numeroso e veloce, l'abbondanza nella scelta del cibo ad oggi in cui sembra quasi arrecare un disturbo se si entra.
