Anyone who rates this restaurant with anything other than a minus (-) 10 is a BALD FACE LIAR or is someone who has had very limited exposure to Chinese cooking!
Just returned from the restaurant and, I must say, the food and service was so atrocious that I felt compelled to go online and write a review. This is something that I seldom to rarely ever do - write online reviews, when I travel abroad I like to try local versions of food that I'm accustom to as a North American. For instance, I try to sample my favorite fast foods... MacD, Burger King, etc. Or favs like goulash, pizza, borscht, etc. On this trip to Italy checking out a Chinese restaurant was on my list. Just as if I every visited China I'll want to try a pasta dish as interpreted by a Chinese cook. Keep in mind that I accept that ethnic dishes in N. A are, by and large, not authentic representations. For example, try getting Italian salad dressing in an Italian restaurant or Greek dressing in a Greek restaurant or ranch dressing, etc. So a Chinese restaurant in Italy sounded intriguing. And the Ni Hao menu looked interesting, especially with its fusion mix of Italian and Chinese foods.
I ordered some vegetable and chicken soup.... Which looked like minced zucchini in some sort of snotty looking liquid. Yuck! The vegetable fried rice was recognisable as fried rice, some green peas and fried egg. But overly dry and tasteless. The waitress did not even provide some soya sauce. The fried spring rolls were okay.... nothing to get excited about. There was no wonton soup on the menu. The fried rice and spring rolls were served together. By the time the curried chicken arrived I had already eaten the fried rice dish. One look at the 'curried chicken with onions' was enough to turn me off. (I know curry. Trust me.) What they served was some runny slightly yellow tinged steamed chicken.... could have been dirty dish water.
I wanted a Sapporo with my meal... not available. So I had to settle for a Heineken. There were no beer glasses or tumblers available so had to settle for a small sherry or port glass. The waitress apparently spoke neither Italian or Chinese.... Just grunted. Ordering meant have to point at the menu... and she still screwed up the order.
Altogether the experience cost just over 28 Euros! And all I actually had for that was 2 spring rolls, a bottle of beer and a small plate...
Read moreI'm into Asian culture, and especially when it comes to food. Today after visiting the Vatican, my family and I we looked for the most restaurants closer there, and we find a Chinese-japanese restaurant that seemed nice...But how wrong I was! When we came, everything fine but then problems started...The staff were so rude and irresponsible! We asked for some Chinese bread and the oldest lady said rudely that they don't have, but we thought it was a excuse to not serve us. The food was low, fine but some dishes were too spicy and trust me, guys, you better don't trust them when they say "Eat all you want" cuz if you don't want more, they force you to eat it all or you will have to pay them extra (This part I'm explaining, I know about it because I saw this situation in another table)...Who makes you pay extra for not finishing a plate?!!! That's stupid! And then, when a young waitress came to remove the finished plates, she asked for deserts and etc...But she didn't vocalized well, so I couldn't understand what she said, I asked her to say it again but instead of give me the answer, she left the table without not allowing me to order our desserts. We went to the restaurant with just paying and without dessert.
This restaurant is so awful! You may have a different opinion for this restaurant unlike me but if I were you I wouldn't go to this restaurant...And for what I saw, I won't come back again, so, sorry but I don't recommend...
Read moreWe had very bad service experienced 2 days ago. We’re ordered 2 different type fried rice (curry & seafood) 1 portion of spicy chicken 1 portion of spicy beef 2 portion fried lumpia 1 L of water 1 portion stir fried vegetable.
Everything we ordered at the same time, after 2 mins 1L of water came with 2 glasses (great was fast) after that 1 portion fried rice seafood came after 10mins (also fast service) and after 10 another mins another ordered came and we ate it almost all and realized 1 portion vegetable is not coming yet so we thought just forget it maybe the waitress (an old Chinese lady) forgot about it. So we’re happy enjoyed our night and 30mins after we’re finished our dishes and then the old Chinese lady came with our last ordered which is vegetable. We told her to cancelled it since it’s very late to serve for us but the old lady insisted won’t cancelled and say they only have 1 chef so can’t handle everything fast and expect us to understand her situation. My husband tried to explained nicely and politely to her that we won’t that anymore but she kept pushing us to pay it.
My advice just tell her in the beginning your order “all food comes all together) otherwise you will experience...
