PERI PERI GRILL — Restaurant in Rome

It was the worst experience that I have faced in Italy that when I visited this restaurant.I recently visited Peri Peri Grill with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. When my son tasted his Fanta drink, he immediately noticed something was off and asked me to try it. I agreed that it tasted bad, likely due to improper storage.

When I brought this to the owner's attention, he rudely insisted that we were wrong simply because we had opened and tasted the drink. My wife also tried to explain our concern, but he continuously interrupted, repeating, "You are wrong, you are wrong."

When I pointed out that it was inappropriate to speak to customers this way, and when I told the owners that we are leaving the he dismissively told us to leave, insisting again that we were wrong. This response made us feel unwelcome, and we couldn't help but suspect that our ethnicity or origins played a role in his dismissive attitude.

My experience at the restaurant was unfortunately very bad. I ordered a grilled chicken salad, but the chicken served in the salad was cooked not GRILLED. The chicken was not delicious; instead, it tasted like cooked chicken. Moreover, the amount of chicken was somewhat scarce, making the dish unsatisfying.

Unfortunately, when we asked the staff why the Caesar salad didn't include chicken, their response was rude and inappropriate, stating that there was no mention of chicken in the Caesar salad on the menu. We were pilgrims of the Jubilee Year 2025 ; we stayed in a hotel close to Roma Termini station; the morning after we arrived, we looked for a place to have breakfast; we came across this restaurant and a lady was so welcoming,,, so we came in; and wow!!! did we ever had a fresh, like home cooking food! the coffee was delicious! the service was awesome!; therefore we kept coming back; the prices were very reasonable and they catered to our needs as one of our companions was allergic to garlic and onion; she enjoyed her food of different varieties.
