Expensive Tourist Trap
I am actually surprised about the amount of positive feedback this café has. My brother's and my experience was completely different.
We ordered one continental breakfast (7€ a steal to what I feel like lure you in) to share and instead of the complementary cappuccino and orange juice that come along with the breakfast two orange juices as we both don't drink coffee.
The waitress said it's fine but came later back with two full breakfast sets. When we told her we only ordered one to share (which we had clearly pointed out before) she got upset. End of the story is that she walked away upset with the second breakfast and charged us for the second orange juice (3,50€ so half the price of the breakfast, total bill was 10,50€). I tried to explain that to the guy who seemed to be the cashier but he seemed very impatient and rather rude.
The girls next to us ordered what looked like a plain cheese and ham sandwich, two cappuccinos and two orange juice and ended up with a 21€ bill.
So not cheap for the quality you get. As for the service we might have just had two bad examples. We will not got...
Read moreDo not let the photos fool you. This was maybe one of the worst caffes I’ve been to in Italy which was surprising. I was due for a bad one. I was in a rush from the train station to go somewhere so i stopped by quick. I got the Italian breakfast. So the pastry you see on the right with the chocolate filling, first, I didn’t get asked which one i wanted or I would have got plain ( the one to the left my partner got), second it was as stale as can be. I think even grocery stores have it more fresh than here. The cappuccinos were very decent tho I cannot lie. I enjoyed them. Just the pastries were very lacking. The normal croissant was good, just not as good as other places around. Overall, spend a little more time searching and go somewhere else. Also to the waiter, I’ll act like I don’t know Italian, but I know what you guys say, trying to upcharge if I didn’t notice, even the...
Read moreGreat place right out the back of the termini! We had a toasted panini which was lovely and tasty! The boys working there cannot do enough for you! Helped us with directions and advice to get to the rugby! We asked about a cocktail we got elsewhere and they didn’t have the ingredients but promised a better version - they delivered 100 percent! I wish I had a place like this near home- it’s truly brilliant! Catering for drinks, beer spirits, coffee, sandwiches, main meals - truly a great set up! On our return the boys were delighted to see us and spoilt us with free crisps and some beautiful Garlic bread! Cannot recommend...
